Just an update: I recently had reconstructive right knee surgery. The pain is intense right now. I initially thought I could tough it out, but it has really humbled me. I can manage to move around on crutches for a few minutes at a time, but I start feeling a lot of pressure around my knee until I rest it on a pillow. This long leg splint is also a literal pain in the rear. It comes up so high on the leg, and I have to wear it 24/7. #kneepain #kneesurgery #medical #surgery

I’ve been many times, at thirty-four, not nearly as devastating as twenty-two, though much more serious and when I think of poor fifteen, I can hardly breathe.
