This past weekend as boxing coaches we took the next level for coaching called Bronze, which surprisingly no coach here on the Big Island has. You automatically get the green level when you sign up as a coach but the Bronze level is just an option to grow as a coach. I know certificates donāt make a coach but what makes a coach is the desire, love and passion to want to grow as a coach to better your self for the children you coach. That Humbleness in knowing you donāt know it all and want to learn learn learn. Oh boy did we both learn so much in this 2 day class. We loved it. Now to implement it in our gym and club will be such a growing experience all around. #humblehandshilo #humblehandshiloboxing #riselevelup

Here in Hawaii fights are limited so Iām trying to give these kids the most opportunities to travel and fight so their countless hours of hard work pays off. I never imagined opening a boxing club, Iām a pro soccer player just did boxing for fun. Although I won 3 national championship belts, ranked 5th in the nation and qualified for the Olympics I felt not qualified to coach boxing BUT when God speaks you need to listen. Only God could convince me to do this and close and open all doors for this journey and new path in my life! Humble Handsā¦he gave me the name, colors and design. Hereās to trusting God with my new journey! How it startedā¦.parents started reaching out to me to help train their kids for self defense and confidence because schools is getting crazy with bullying. It grew to about 12 kids and then friends/ladies started reaching out to help them as wellā¦soā¦I closed my shop and turned it into a private gym. Lol crazyā¦I know! Why?! Well Cause I just love helping people reach their goals. My heart has always been to help people and our community. So if youāre uncomfortable and shy to go to those big gyms, come train with me at my new private gym.
