You need to be comfortable and happy with all the decisions you make or your day might be something you don't want and you'll regret it, so keep telling yourself this when things get tough! 🥰Remember to prioritise yourself at all times. 💯Take a collective stance on your agreed list and rules around plus ones and children. 🙌🏻It may be uncomfortable treating people like numbers, but as long as your A list are there, you will have a great day no matter what and realistically, you have to draw the line somewhere. 💋You don't have to invite people because you went to their wedding or they came to your engagement party. Things change, relationships move and budgets are there for a reason! 🔥Your wedding is not a reunion for all the people in your life. Only invite people who mean something to you and organise something else with people who you'd like to see but don't have the space to add to your guest list. 🎤Try not to overthink guest lists and go with your gut. On a sunny July day, amidst the familiar blooms of Billie’s childhood garden, she and Mike exchanged their vows. The garden had always been a special place for the bride growing up, and her mum and stepdad were married there, so she always hoped she’d be able to do the same. “My stepdad loved his garden, he passed away in 2019”, she told us. “We made everything as colourful as possible – like dopamine dressing, but for a wedding! We wanted the day to be bright and happy for everyone. We got engaged just before the first lockdown so it was the first time we had seen a lot of our family and friends. We even had family from Germany who came in their Lederhosen! Kevin and Larissa’s wedding was held in Wambacher Mühle, an old mill museum, in Schlangenbad, Germany. Rescheduled three times due to COVID, third time was certainly lucky charm for this pair and they eventually tied the knot on the 23rd June 2023. “Each postponement, while disheartening, only strengthened our bond and our desire to celebrate our love with all our dear ones,” shared Larissa. “In Germany we say ‘all good things come in threes’ and so it was with our wedding. The Asylum Chapel is one of the coolest alternative ceremony spaces in London, and as soon as they walked in, Elisa and Will knew it was the place for them. The day was relaxed, personal, informal and intimate. However, their main inspiration was to create an inclusive day. “Our goal was to create a day that was inclusive and personal, where everyone felt part of our journey, regardless of their beliefs," Elisa shared. “We wanted to celebrate without relying on religion but not at the cost of excluding any of our guests who were religious, or otherwise. We tailored the ceremony based on how we met, what we believe in and our interests. At the suggestion of our celebrant, we circulated the rings around the guests so they could all impart their own blessing.
