La natura qui prende il sopravvento, tra stralci di vita quotidiana, tazze di tè e qualche dolcetto che delizi il momento. La giornata di ieri è stata veramente rosa. Tante piccole cose hanno avvolto il mio cuore in una patina argentata, tanto da farlo sentire davvero al caldo. Il sole andava e veniva ma mi è importato assai poco. Mi sono circondata di profumi, fiori, dolcetti, buon cibo e una mano da stringere. La mia preferita. Sicuramente arriverà qualche foto, di tanto in tanto. Come avviene con le foto del nostro matrimonio, i bei ricordi son belli da rivivere anche a distanza di tempo. E mi piace farmi coccolare da essi ogni qualvolta io lo desideri. Oggi ritorno al profumo del lillà, seppur per breve tempo. Ho in serbo per voi un po’ di glicine (si, anche quello bianco), qualche rosa, fiori di ciliegio e - inaspettatamente - anche tanto verde. Data la vena romantica che mi scorre nelle vene quest’oggi, vi lascio quindi un po’ di lillà, che rappresenta proprio quest’emozione. Inspirate forte dunque, e cercate di percepire la meraviglia. Sempre.

Sta per finire questo mese di aprile ‘pazzerello’ che ci ha portato prima temperature decisamente estive e poi invernali. Ha confuso noi ma soprattutto le piante che hanno in qualche caso anticipato le fioriture di quasi un mese e poi con il ritorno del freddo si sono bloccate. Sta per arrivare maggio e con lui spero un po’ di normalità. Le rose, regine di maggio, stanno aspettando che le temperature si normalizzino per dare il meglio di sé e meravigliarci con le loro fioriture spettacolari. Nei giardini stanno sbocciando mughetti, peonie, azalee, iris, filadelfo e viburno palla di neve… Maggio è il mese delle fioriture spettacolari! Spring Centerpiece Workshop - Thurs. May 2, 6-8 pm. So much beauty is blossoming on the farm we decided it’s time for a centerpiece/bouquet workshop! Peonies are just opening up along with bridal wreath spirea, ranunculus, anemone, dames rocket, viburnum, and the sweetest snapdragons! Sweet peas may make an appearance along with other spring bloomers and all work beautifully together. The early spring green foliage is such a sweet compliment to it all and finishes it off with a flourish. We will demo a centerpiece in a vessel that allows flowers to spill over casually but this could just as easily be a bridal style bouquet. We will explain the principles of design that will allow each participant to create a lush long lasting arrangement using all the bounty spring provides.
