Dresses worn in this post: 1. Portia 2. Caleb 3. Beau with sleeves and no sleeves Once the try on session is over, the staff will have you shortlist your top 4 dresses for them to share with you the pricing! They have gown & makeup packages with other vendors and offer decisive pricing (-$200) if you confirm your gowns with them a week after your first appointment! I shortlisted Bennett, Lily, Caleb and Portia and the prices range from $1.4k to $2k as per the last image. If you are a minimalist brides that prefer mermaid style or with a shorter train, Freida is for you! I wanted a longer traim for my march in, and since this was my first bridal visit, I didn't commit to them immediately. Share with me your thoughts on which gown you think suit me best!

< BRIDAL SHOPS VISIT - @friedabrides Part 1> Frieda Brides was the first studio that we visited. Caught our eyes on their minimalist collections! The studio was located on the 2nd storey. When we went, we were the only customer and if i'm not wrong, one fitting area. Small studio but spacious for you to walk along the racks to find something that you like. They don't allow photography but the staff kindly allowed us to do so on that day! yays! The staff was helpful to give me recommendations and adjust my dress. She sat me down to understand my preferences, before introducing me to the racks and gave me time to browse through. Here are the names of the dresses that I tried on in this post: 1. Bennett 2. Nothing. That was what we heard, early in the cold wee morning, when we were waiting for the bus to go to Monolithos beach. It was the same bus conductor I’ve seen for the past few days, that seemed to be the boss of the only bus terminal on Santorini. Greek. Eyes that have seen too many tourists, a tongue that reflected it. It wasn’t too surprising to hear what he had to say when we asked about the next bus to our destination. Monolithos? You want to go to Monolithos?? “There’s nothing at Monolithos!!! Why do you want to go there?” Nothing. It was funny, because after that, we knew he was going to heckle us, the entire bus journey. And it was just a little bit of poking fun, dashed with some genuine concern. I understood where he was coming from. From my recce to Monolithos, there was only me and two other dogs in the wide expanse of the beach. One other elderly couple holding on to each other for dear life, laughing in waves too strong, an ocean too big. Pretty much, he summed it up. There really was nothing. But that’s exactly what I wanted. My art, needs zero interference. No outside noise. No unwanted energy. None. So we can concentrate. On yours. Pure. Unfiltered. An essence I can’t explain, a purity that can only be felt. A process so weird only those who experienced can understand. And when the bus turned the corner, with only us left on board, our eyes met. Negative spaces. Not all days are good, even more so when you’re running a business on too of your day job — working 9am - 2am days, having to curate social media posts and attend to queries between that, dealing with imposter syndrome and feeling like you’re just not good enough. The long hours not something I’m super proud of to be honest, which is why I decided to upgrade my laptop to help with that. The rest, well it gets better here and there~ However, just like how negative spaces draw your attention to its positive counterparts, on the contrary, good days make me feel like I’m on top of the world.
