“What lights you up most in your life?” @mindfraime asked me during one of our meetings a couple months ago. “Taking close up photos of mushrooms on film,” I replied simply yet definitively and with a bit of excitement. “And why’s that?” he asked. I was admittedly perplexed and also surprised to realize I’d never considered it much. I knew it made me feel energized, like a little kid on a treasure hunt, but I didn’t know *why*. Maybe the draw of some practices don’t need to be investigated… but this one felt like it had something juicy behind it, and I set out on uncovering what it was.
