SiNaCa Studios School of Glass and Gallery is igniting a #GlassrootsRevival in Fort Worth beginning this week. The only public access studio for making glass art in North Texas announces the launch of a year-long community engagement campaign that features engaging activities suitable at all age levels, and from beginners to experienced artists. Glassroots Revival is designed to kindle active participation in the medium, create fun and memorable experiences for local residents, and elevate recognition of glass-making as both a craft and fine art form. The campaign begins heating-up with a series of 8 weekly activities. Events continue weekly through June 22, when SiNaCa Studios hosts its annual Ice Cream Social fundraiser from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Following the Ice Cream Social in June, monthly programming from July through May 2025 will include educational opportunities, family-friendly activities, Girls Night Out and Date Night experiences. Individuals will have a variety of ways to explore their creativity and learn about glass artistry. The campaign culminates with a major event in late spring 2025 that will be announced this May. "We are excited to launch Glassroots Revival and invite the community to join us in celebrating the art of glass making," said Michael Cummings, Board President of SiNaCa Studios. "Through this campaign, we aim to provide a platform for people of all ages and skill levels to engage with the art form and support our mission of fostering a vibrant glass arts community." SiNaCa does a few different things with the community, one of my favorite is working with the kids at One Safe Place. One memory that sticks in my head is when a student I had from OSP told me about a memory they had with me in the past & how I helped inspire them through the glass item we created, that I helped them make one year, how they cherish that moment, still have the item we made together, and look back on that as such a positive memory. — Nick Gomez Link in bio.
Making art is regenerative and life-enhancing. Support this meaningful work by participating in our Reflections of Generosity end-of-year fundraising campaign. Our highest gift support level—$10,000—will be honored with an installation of up to eleven rondels of varying sizes designed specifically for you, installed in your home. Link in bio.
I began working for this organization in 2015 and immediately knew it was different than any other glass art organization I had experienced previously. As the years have gone by, the core staff at SiNaCa has become stronger than a family. We feel happiness, heartache, pride, frustration, and innovative creativity together. We are stronger than any family could ever be because not only do we care about SiNaCa and each other, we care about sharing our passions with others. In doing so, every time you walk through our doors, you have an experience. You make a connection with us and with glass. — Tatara Siegel Click the link in bio.
SiNaCa reminded me of what matters to me the most: making a positive impact in people's lives. It is incredibly soul-filling to work with people in our community who are interested in having an experience with glass. These interactions always remind me of why I began my glass journey and seeing excitement in others is a big reminder of how this material can really impact individuals. —Jean Fernandes Link in bio.
SiNaCa Studios is the only glass art facility in the area that is dedicated to all artists and available to everyone in the community. I have been a part of it since the very first conversations about the lack of access in our community and have been a part of every step of this journey. The "first" have been so very rewarding and meaningful to me. The first meetings to discuss how to utilize the first donation, the first day of public operations and first student, the first grant, and the first programming focused on education, and wellness have all been very rewarding and important in the SiNaCa Story! — Clifton Crofford
SiNaCa provides a space to create with glass. Without SiNaCa's focus on being a public access facility, the reality of personally continuing to blow glass would be almost nonexistent. SiNaCa has the ability to host some amazing artists and for a few moments we get to revolve in their orbit. The knowledge that has been gained by assisting or watching their collective processes and the way they engage with the material has directly influenced my approach in working with glass. The developed relationships add to an overwhelmingly sharing and supportive knowledge base that allow this medium to continue to be accessible and to evolve. — Kevin McGehee Link in bio.

We hope to see you at Open Studios tonight from 6–9! This is the perfect time to find out what glass making is all about. Our featured artist is Rees Bowen, ( @spiralglassinc ) whose work, both in architecture and fine art, is informed by the idea of creating objects within particular spaces that distinctly influences an individual’s experience of that space.
In our Kiln Forming studio, you will be working with the glass in its solid state. You will cut and layer sheet glass with glass frits and stringers to create a design. Then the assembled work goes into an electric kiln where it will be fired over a 12-hour cycle to fuse the layers together.
