Richford, VT - April 2024 Pinhole long exposure solarigraph of the total solar eclipse. ~3 hour exposure with the majority of the partial phases and the totality in the middle. Pretty cool how much exposure latitude the developer paper has to capture decent results with either a 3 hour exposure or a 6 month exposure. Slide 3 is from my DSLR. Een zelfgemaakt gaatjes camera heeft van eind oktober tot eind januari buiten op een locatie in Klein Welsden opgehangen. Daar heeft deze het landschap en de baan van de zon vastgelegd. Het prentje is gemaakt in een oplage van 35 exemplaren en is gedrukt in de kleuren geel, teal en zwart op 160 grs Biotop papier. De Kunst O Maat staat in de bibliotheek in de President Kennedystraat 46 B 6269CC in Margraten. A ideia inicial era trazer o olhar... O olhar da Ayeza sempre me chamou a atenção. Eu via nele muita intensidade e entrega. Uma presença que me tocava, pois a sentia genuína e transparente. E entre outras coisas, nós temos em comum o afeto por gatos. Então o caminho inicial que percorri fazia bastante sentido para mim... O olhar felino feito uma ponte entre nós. Fiz algumas experimentações, mas logo entendi que aquela era uma simbologia forte para mim - o gato -, mas ela não ocupava o mesmo lugar nas simbologias dela. Foi aí que o óbvio veio e a chave passou a ser fonte de experimentações. Que chave seria essa? Como ela estaria integrada na espiral? Ela seria uma ou se multiplicaria? Quem conhece o método da Ayeza entenderá esse "uma ou várias". Era iniciozinho de julho de 2023 e naquele dia de tempo nublado fui para o ateliê logo depois do almoço. Foi no anoitecer que ela veio ao mundo. Eu simplesmente sabia, era ela, estava pronta. Eu tinha gestado a ÚNICA. A entrega foi um momento a parte, muito especial, e a conexão de fato aconteceu. Foi tão genuína que provocou nela o desejo de outra ÚNICA, que fosse inspiração para uma tatuagem, mas esse é um outro capítulo de uma história que acolho com muita gratidão. 470 days. I ziptied this pinhole solargraph camera to a stop sign on January 1st 2023 and it sat dutifully capturing the sun's transit for well over a year before I finally came back to collect it. This one was pointed at a criss cross mish mash of intersecting highway interchanges near Charlestown, but in the long long exposure any identifying marks have faded and only the sun's path burnt into the emulsion remains. . Solargraphs are fascinating to me at all lengths of time.
