Well a successful result! Not 100% but very close for first shot. Scale 1/32 Martin Baker GRU-7 ejection seat. Some small tweaks required for the straps and one shoulder buckle. Some better support placement and a little cushion bulge adjustments to differentiate the backrest cushions. Martin Baker GRU-7 3D resin print 1/32 scale First prototype print to see what has worked and what has not. I would say nearly 100% success rate. Buckle of right shoulder strap on left seat was too far from the cushion and failed to print properly. Otherwise, all other details have come out, even the rivets and small surface indents and straps! Very happy with the result! I will be tweaking rear seat cushion on one of the seats to differentiate and fix the buckle. Then for a small production run. Made the seats look more “cushiony” and added seat straps and buckles. 2 seat variations for that subtle front and rear seat differentiation. Next up, prep for 1/32 print on my @anycubicofficial Photon Mono X with some grey AnyCubic resin. It’s been a while since I have managed to find some time to 3D model anything aviation related. Here is a work in progress 3D model of a Martin Baker 1/32 scale ejection seat I am developing for @mpv.lumpsnbumps . Still a lot of work to do once I have finished the hard modelling in @solidworks. New 1 piece, easy fit “Suck Tubes” for the Trumpeter 1:32 scale EA-18G Growler and Super Hornet kits being test fitted. These parts replace the 2 part assembly issued with the kit which fail to match the intake accurately. The present 2 piece inner tube assembly has misalignment issues and poor mating surfaces making the view down the intakes disrupted and stepped. Our one piece “Suck Tubes” aim to improve the fit and appearance down the intake to make the assembly more visually streamlined and professional. Work still in progress but soon to be released.
