Al Quaraouiyine de Fès immortalisée à l’Université d’Ottawa Pose d’une plaque commémorative La plus ancienne université au monde encore en activité, Al Quaraouiyine, vient de se voir rendre un bel hommage par la prestigieuse université canadienne d’Ottawa. Une célébration qui, tel que le révèle ce hub de savoir, s’inscrit dans le cadre de la commémoration cette année du «60ème anniversaire de l’établissement des relations diplomatiques entre le Maroc et le Canada». Lors de cette célébration, le recteur et vice-chancelier de l’Université d’Ottawa, Jacques Frémont, et l’ambassadeur de SM le Roi au Canada, Souriya Otmani, ont procédé, dans l’enceinte de l’université canadienne, à la pose et au dévoilement d’une plaque commémorative en hommage à l’Université Al Quaraouiyine qui a été fondée en 859 par Fatima Al Fihriya.
