We had a celebration at the end of the day today for our Grades 2-8 students who spent these last two days completing their MAP testing. 🎉 We are so proud of them for all their hard work! The Grades Five to Eight Senior Choir had the opportunity to perform at the 2024 Kiwanis Music Festival yesterday. 🎶 It was a wonderful experience! The students sang ‘Lightning’ by Greg Gilpin and ‘Goin’ Up a Yonder’ by Walter Hawkins. It was exciting to hear the response from the adjudicator. She was impressed with the choir and mentioned that she had adjudicated choirs throughout Canada and would consider this choir among her ‘top five’! 🙌 One of the highlights was when the adjudicator offered to play the piano accompaniment and sight-read the music while we sang both pieces again. ✨️ Choir members, we have so enjoyed working with you. Thursday evening is our first-ever CCS Art Gallery! 🥳 You are all warmly invited to join us on Thursday, February 8 between 6 and 8 PM for our CCS Art Gallery! This year at Cambridge Christian School we have been looking at the many “Keys to Being a Worshipper”. Our hearts are happy when we see our students giving their best in their work and play and finding ways to bless others with their time, talents and treasures. Our Art Gallery will be an evening to enjoy the many masterpieces our students have created. Here is some need-to-know information before you come on Thursday evening! 🌟 The proceeds of the evening will go directly to support former street youth in Sudan who have been taken in by the MAF ministry. The money we raise will provide for bicycles for getting to school, uniforms, shoes, tuition fees, and soccer balls. 🌟 All students will have two masterpieces displayed, and our teachers will be there as curators to help you find the artwork you are looking for that evening. Our students will be quick to help you as well! 🌟We wish for everyone to be able to take home masterpieces of their choosing! This will be a "pay what you would like" event. We loved a sweet moment when one JK taught another how to use the tape dispenser. ❤️ The "Deep Hope" in one of our Kindergarten classes is "to delight in God's love for us, and to show love to others."
