Vor ziemlich genau einem Jahr besuchten uns die Studierenden der @essecbs und der @mannheimbschool beim Training unseres Nachwuchsteams. Sie wollten im Rahmen ihres Studiums ein soziales Projekt realisieren, dessen Einnahmen den Kindern und Jugendlichen unseres Vereins zu Gute kommen sollten. Nun konnte das Projekt erfolgreich abgeschlossen werden. Groß war die Freude bei allen Beteiligten, als es am gestrigen Samstag zum großen Wiedersehen kam. Im Trainingslager unserer Powerchair Hockey Mannschaft überraschten uns die Studentinnen und Studenten mit einem Scheck über 25.000 Euro. Eine unglaubliche Summe, die uns immer noch sprachlos macht. He spends his days/nights in a hospital bed in his room. I take him on strolls around the neighborhood at times just to breathe fresh air. I've taken him to a few family gatherings, but the difficulty of all the lifting dead weight, awkward painful bending and bumping really takes a toll on both of us. It's a painful mission getting him in a normal car. With a handicap van, he will be able to have so much freedom to do what he wants. Whilst the person who ended the life of poor little Rocco has still not been identified, we would like to say a big thank you for the kindness and generosity our supporters have shown us in response. The Total Giving Appeal raised £1057 towards Rocco’s vet bill. We also received a very unexpected anonymous donation of £1000. Thankfully, this means we have been able to cover his vet costs and not add further to the burden the rescue already faces. Hi again - it’s me, your neighborhood struggling trans artist. I am asking as a last resort, for folks to chip in to keep me housed in May and prevent me from being evicted. I know I know you may be thinking “why haven’t they gotten their shit together” or maybe you don’t think that and it’s my mean voice talking. I am working my ass off to get a job. Having the past couple weeks degrade into really debilitating depression has been a struggle. I found out today that it’s likely from the Ozempic fueling my depression to new lows and let me tell you it’s been so scary. I love being alone. I love sleeping alone in my bed. I know and understand people care about me but let me tell you, this past week all that was out the window. In this time, my self-esteem washed away and it’s only a week after stopping OZEMPIC that I am feeling better. I have will again. I know I am worthy and will pull myself out of this rut. And while that is positive, all of this medical and mental health discovery will not pay my bills. So I am asking for your help again. I thank you for what you’ve done so far, everyone who’s given to me in the past, if I could only show and tell you how vital this community aid has been and will continue to be until I’m back on my feet, I would.
