It's our human nature to feel ashamed and to want to hide or run away. Jesus wants us to come to Him and when we do, He is slow to get angry and abounds in love!
Read Psalm 15 - 17 What can we bring to God? Nothing but ourselves. He desires our hearts no matter how messy or dirty they are. We don't have to be perfect in order for Jesus to love us. All we have to do is come to Him! He desires for us to tell Him all our worries, our pain, and even the things that we have done wrong. He wants us to tell Him so that He can wash away all of our sins and make our hearts whole again!

Did you know that the Gospel is the BEST news that we can share with others? As a follower of Jesus, we are called to spread the Good News of what Jesus has done for us! We do not have to be afraid or ashamed in our belief in Jesus. We can walk in confidence and anticipation that we have news that EVERYONE deserves to hear.
Read Peter 2 : 4-6 Have you ever tried to build something really cool and big only to have it topple over? Likely, it didn't have a firm and strong foundation for it to stand on. Did you know that Jesus is the only perfect foundation in our lives? When we build our loves around Him and on His Truth, we cannot be shaken. We cannot be moved. He will hold firm and will keep us safe and steady. How cool is that?!
Read Joshua 4 : 1-7 Spending time with the grownups in your life can be pretty fun! You may get candy, play games, and even hear some good stories. Stories are a wonderful way to pass down information from one generation to the next. It is also a great way to ask questions about their life. The next time you are with a grown up that you know, ask them about how Jesus has shown up in their life. Ask them what they have learned about Jesus through their different stages and ages. Learning from others can help us learn more about Jesus and what it means to follow Him.
Read Hebrews 9 : 24-28 Have you ever gotten to the ned of a puzzle, only to realize that you are missing a piece? That can be pretty frustrating because you can't see the WHOLE picture! It is not complete. Did you know that Jesus is like that puzzle piece? When He came down to Earth as a baby to be the Savior of all, it was like the final piece of the puzzle had been found! People slowly began to see what the Old Testament Prophets were talking about. When we have Jesus in our lives, something is filled inside of us and our puzzle is complete. What a good feeling it is to know and follow Jesus.
Read Leviticus 16 : 1-5 Have you ever heard the grownups in your life talk about honoring God through tithes and offerings? Although you may not have physical money to give to God as a child, one of the ways that we can honor God is through giving Him our very best. When we do things in our lives (sports, activities) or with people in our lives (hanging out with friends, classmates, family members), if we are doing them for the glory of God, that is giving Him our best. We can even show Him honor by singing praises to Him and studying his Word. In all we say and do, we want to do it unto Him. What ways can you honor God? How can you give Him your very best?

Read Ezra 8 : 21-23 Have you ever been afraid of a situation, something, or someone? Feeling unsafe is never a good feeling. AND, did you know that God is the Great Protector? Did you know that He is always watching over us? God is EVERYWHERE! He knows our needs, our hearts desires, and knows everything about us! He is a loving God who protects, provides, and shows compassion for us. It can feel so good knowing that God is looking out for us. There are many ways that we can thank God for protecting us. For example, we can sing songs of praise to Him and we can spend time with Him by reading our Bibles and praying. We can rest in His peace knowing that He is our protector.
Read Psalms 16 : 5-11 Have you ever experienced a time in your life where you have thought "this is the BEST DAY EVER?!" That day felt pretty good, right? Imagine having that feeling each and every day! Did you know that you can have that with Jesus? When we are in His presence, we have 'joy on our tongues' and our 'hearts are glad'. It is the joy of the Lord that fills us, sustains us, and keeps us feeling safe.
Read Lamentations 3 : 19-24 Did you know that God wants us to talk to Him even if we are feeling angry with Him? Our anger doesn't scare God, and it's not too much for Him. He wants us to come to Him with each and every emotion we feel. No matter how we are feeling, there will always be things that can bring us joy if we choose to see them. Maybe you are thankful for your squishmallow or for the hug your sibling gave you. God will bless you and keep you no matter what you are feeling or dealing with. He may even surprise you with little gifts that bring you joy.
Read John 1 : 1-4 Think of some blessings God has given you. We get to enjoy those things in life because of Jesus! Because of the gift of God's Son, we can have a relationship with Him and thank Him for the blessings He gives us. Take time to thank God for the people and things He has blessed you with. Read Isaiah 55 : 8-11 Have you ever felt worried or scared and you tried to fix it all by yourself? It is pretty hard to do new and scary things alone. Did you know that God wants to help you? What if we focused on God and how He is with us during hard and scary things instead of trying to do it alone? Let's try that today, together!
Read John 1: 43-15 Imagine the most beautiful place you have ever been. Now imagine all of your loved ones in that place. Now, think about doing your most favorite things with your loved ones in your favorite place. This would make a pretty great day! Well, get this...Heaven is a MILLION times better than that. It is so good and so perfect that we can't even begin to imaging what it is life. And the best part is, Jesus is there! Thinking about the day we get to be with Jesus forever can bring us hope every day!

Think about a time things didn't go exactly as you thought they would go. Maybe you lost your sports game after practicing all week or maybe you got sick before a friend's birthday party. Even when we aren't exactly where we want to be or thought we would be, God is with us. He is good even when our team or our health aren't good. God is good, all the time. All the time, God is good!
🙏DAY 1 of PRAYER🙏 Have you ever felt like quitting something because it was hard? That can be challenging, huh? But did you know that God is always your biggest cheerleader? He is rooting for you no matter how you are feeling in a situation. He is with us and for us when things are good AND when things are bad. God hears you when you ask Him to help, He will never leave your side, and will even give us blessings when we are feeling down or tired. We serve an amazing God!
