It was a quieter month with some lovely gems, so let’s get into it! Inabakumori joined ProSeka recently with a really fantastic song that combines all the melancholy he’s known for with this somber catchy tune, and I just love it, it’s already one of my favs from him! R-906 also came back with another really fantastic track, the refrain on this is just so captivating and it’s really making me realize just how much I love their work! Kanaria’s newest on the other hand had me a little disappointed. I feel their style hasn’t evolved or improved much from their debut, and I’m left always wanting something a bit more, which is a shame. I wasn’t into this one personally. Nyannyannya’s newest entry in their signature series once again uses SV Yuma and I like it! The naturalistic sound of the SV engine is a real shift for their style but it’s been cool to see! Some smaller gems I came across this month! “Mesmerizer” was a really cool speedcore style tune, featuring the fantastic work of rigged animator channel who’s fan made videos have gone viral recently, it’s so cool to see them make their MV debut! And on the English scene, I absolutely fell in LOVE with tart and Monochro’s newest collab, I’ve been singing this chorus for weeks and it won’t leave my head, how incredibly charming of a song! I was listening to Tenshi no Tsubasa by A4。 and realised I really like the vocals in this song. Do I think Kafu and Gekiyaku sound great together? Yes absolutely and they should be used in duets more. But what I like specifically about their usage in that song is the contrast between Kafu’s smoother vocals and Gekiyaku’s choppier, more powerful vocals. A similar stylistic choice is used in God Gacha by UtsuP with a softer RIME and a powerful Miku.
