As a girl steps into a new chapter of her life she makes new relations, fulfills her responsibilities and becomes a woman. She becomes more resilient and strong. From that day onwards she had to take responsibility for two homes. A woman wonderfully balances her dreams and responsibilities. And so she is referred to as 'shakti' in our Indian culture. Putting together the first kit for this project and making these cards brought me immense satisfaction. ❤️ Choosing this cause has always been close to my heart, despite people suggesting there are bigger problems to tackle. However, I’ve always believed in advocating for animal welfare because animals deserve care, love, and protection just as much as humans do and this cause is equally important as others. Project Paridhaan Today was the day of distribution, And ohh my goodness I didn't expected this RESPONSE from them. They were much more excited to receive the clothes than we are when we go to shop clothes. As soon as I started giving them clothes , everyone of them was being so happy that they all were shouting with joy. Some immediately wore & showed to me how the dress was looking on them😍. (And some ran away with clothes, coz they were afraid their friends would want the same as their😅). This time I was able to donate 30-40 clothes , but when the kids were asking me when I will come again ; at that time I promised myself that I will make a change ! I will come here again and again ! And I will make this kids, this much happy everytime. It was an ordinary day when my friend shared the news that her mother had undergone surgery to remove her uterus due to lumps that could potentially lead to cancer. The gravity of the situation hit me hard, but it wasn’t until later that evening, during dinner with my parents, that the full weight of the issue became apparent. As I relayed the news about my friend’s mother, my father revealed that such cases were alarmingly common in India, especially in our native place, which had one of the highest rates of such surgeries. This revelation shook me to the core, and as I delved deeper into the issue, I uncovered a startling truth: nearly three women in my own family had undergone similar surgical procedures to remove such lumps. The realization struck me with profound sadness and a sense of urgency. It was clear that cervical cancer was not just a distant concern; it was a pressing reality that hit close to home. In 2020-21 Assams Female Labour Force Participation (FLFP) was 18.9% in rural areas and 16% in urban areas. Recently i have visited a village to do a survey to know the condition of the women of the village better before planning to start my dream project. And as you all can see in the above picture, i talked to few of them, get to know about their views on financial independence, their plannings and ideas, about their struggles and life. And i realised that its not the situation of the women of the villages infact the women of the urban areas but the sources due to which they had to stuck in the same position. Due to lack of information on business skills, or the courage to go out, difficulty in making market connections. Women are naturally god gifted with hand skills which can be utilised in a limitless way but due to the lack of sources most can't! Also because from the time of schooling, one is always taught to become successful, have a job but is never taught the harsh reality of the world. One is always taught what is in the books but not life skills due to which many suffers when they grews up they couldn’t find a way except a job to earn ! And also from my own journey, i have been planting a dream in my heart since last 4 years ...but due to the same reason, lack of sources, lack of courage and lack of support and push i was backing off. We are using plastic bags and bottles for day to day purpose which we threw on a roads after use.Plastic is derived from fossil fuels, including natural gas and crude oil, and also contains chemicals that are known endocrine disruptors and threaten human health. If we start to use cloth bags and do the proper waste management, we can reduce various issues like global warming and greenhouse gasses immission. #indiasmisstgpc #tgpc

Plans ahead: Kilkari is expanding, encouraging and empowering ✨ we are taking baby steps to reach our goal of making this project self-sustainable. With the structural changes introduced earlier, we have managed to achieve a steady inflow of volunteers for the expanding beneficiary-base. However, our target is to identify and groom Community Leaders within our beneficiary communities itself. We envision that one day the beneficiaries of Kilkari will be the changemakers themselves and take ahead this baton wherever they go in life. The advisors of the project, including me, are consistently involved in maintaining administrative efficiency and to strategize the next steps ahead. We frequently connect with different students to take their feedback on the approach taken by us. We also review and monitor the academic performances and personality improvements made by the students. Spreading awareness to as many people as possible is important. Story time- Past 3-4 years I was feeling a lump in my breast but I didn't know what it can be. No one to give knowledge on this and Google showed too much of mixed information. But at present when I got the courage to go to a doctor and examine which was necessary, it was a relief knowing what was going on with my body and early detection is very important in every case.
