There’s a new brunch spot in town! @brunchsnobrestaurant in Ahwatukee. I was so impressed with the food and they’ve got a great patio. I had the open faced carnitas omelette which I would absolutely recommend. And you can’t go wrong with a mimosa flight 🥂
The Living Room will always hold a special place in my heart. When I (Amanda) first moved to Arizona, it was a very popular spot for happy hour and brunch as I made friends across the valley. Whether @thelivingroomazchandler or @thelivingroomahwatukee or @thelivingroomdcranch … it’s always one of my favorite spots for brunch (and with $5 mimosas… come on 😉)
Bahn mi bowls! I made this recipe last week and had totally forgotten it’s one of my favorites. I substitute the pork for turkey or chicken and I buy the spicy mayo pre-made. I’ll include the link for the recipe in our stories.

Almost a year ago, we bought a remote wine tasting with @samanthasommelier 🥂 On Thursday, we were finally together in person and able to taste and let me tell you… it was worth the wait! We did the Frosty White tasting and Sam was so great. All of us learned something new. Monica and I were both so impressed with how seamless the entire process was, from booking to ordering the wines online (and free shipping!), everything was so much easier than either of us expected it to be. If you’re looking for something fun to do to celebrate a birthday or wedding shower or just to celebrate finally being able to be together in person like we did, we totally recommend booking with @samanthasommelier 🍷

Summer has arrived and it’s officially Hugo season! One of my favorite summer cocktails I first discovered on a trip to Croatia. See recipe below. • • • 1/2 cup sparkling water 1/2 cup sparkling wine (I like Cava but totally up to you) 1/8 cup elderflower syrup (I get mine off of Amazon) Juice of half a lime 4-5 mint leaves, crushed • • • Combine all liquids together and stir. Then stir in mint leaves. Cheers! 🥂

So most of you may not know that I, Amanda, either lived in or around Philadelphia for over 10 years. I absolutely loved exploring the food scene. I was so excited to receive a belated birthday gift in the mail from one of my best friends, a @dibrunobros gift box! It had everything I needed to make a delicious charcuterie board. I totally recommend visiting #dibrunobros if you’re in Philly or ordering a box if you’re out of the area.

My first ever açaí bowl was from @berrydivineacai 6 years ago. We arrived in Sedona on Sunday, and less than 24 hours later, I had an açaí bowl in my hand. My favorite is the Sedona bowl but you really can’t go wrong with anything off the menu.

Valentine’s Day might be over, but @eatatzuzu is still heating things up and spreading the love with their Red Hot Love Show Stopper Shake. Is anyone else getting recipe ideas from #tiktok lately?! Hash browns topped with avocado and an egg (as runny as you’d like). Then I put a little @officialboonsauce on top because I’m obsessed with that lately but you could add the sauce of your choosing. Super easy and it was really good. It would have been even faster work a hashbrown patty- next time!
We may have traveled a lot less, been to a lot less restaurants, and seen each other waaaay less (it’ll be an entire year before we see each other again).... but we both have our health and have found times to be happy in 2020. Here’s to hope and health in 2021 🥂

There’s a new chicken and pizza spot in town and it’s definitely worth checking out! @flybyetogo serves up square pizza, really delicious wings, tenders and dipping sauces galore! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and crispy. Gotta have that crunch! They are a takeout only restaurant (which is perfect in these times of Covid) from @foxrestaurantconcepts and are located in Culinary Dropout at The Yard location on 7th St. We can’t wait to explore more of their menu!

The other night I made these one pan steak nachos and received a lot of feedback so I thought I would share them here. . *Chris prepped and grilled the steak and I - •Preheat oven to 400 degrees •Placed chips on a baking pan •Topped with loads of - Cheese Black beans Corn Jalapeños Tomatoes Onions •Placed in oven for 8-10 minutes •Finished with adding steak, cilantro, sour cream + guacamole •ENJOY!

I’ve made this spicy sausage pumpkin pasta four times in the last month it’s that good! I was even easily able to make it gluten-free and lactose-free and it was still amazing. I found the recipe on @pinterest but I’ll also post the link in our stories to the real recipe post created by @aberdeenskitchen. . . . Totally recommend if you’re looking for a great fall entree.
Last night we attended Pumpkin Nights #atthePrincess and it was a #spooktacular event! . Before walking around to enjoy the rides and Instagrammable settings, we dined at the pop-up, SPOOKEASY. Their Braised Schreiners Sausage and the kids Mac + Cheese (you know I’m a sucker for it - and you must get it!) were heavenly. . Covid19 Precautions- while this event is pretty crowded, masks are required, and almost everyone abided (you always have those proud defiant ones anywhere you go🙄) and did their best to socially distance themselves.

Enjoyed a little outdoors brunch @ellysbrunchcafephx 😍 This place is so cute and the food was so delicious, emphasis on the delicious. . I called ahead to make sure they had outdoor seating and followed Covid19 safety protocols, and they do! Now, I usually prefer my orange juice mimosas with mostly sparkling wine and just a splash of OJ. I recommend doing more of a 50-50 split between sparkling wine and apple cider for these. Complete with a cinnamon sugar rim and apple and cinnamon stick for garnish.

Oregon is on our hearts and minds right now as we see and hear about the fires in that beautiful state. You guys! I did it! I ate out at a PHX restaurant (outdoors of course)! . We enjoyed a socially distanced dinner on the @windsoraz patio last night and it was actually a perfect temp with the misters. . Windsor now has their fried chicken on the menu everyday of the week and that makes me oh-so happy! We washed our chicken down with a $5 pitcher of @sierranevada Hazy Little Thing IPA ($5 pitchers of beer, wine by the glass, and cocktails everyday from 11-5)

We escaped the PHX heat to Flagstaff, and of course Pizzicletta was our first stop! . I have to say, it was nice to be in a town that takes social distancing and wearing masks so seriously. I felt safe dining outdoors and life felt a little normal. . 📸 - Amore oi Mari mascarpone, pecorino, prosciutto, arugula and lemon olive oil 📸 - Carne Dolce House made mozzarella, fresh ricotta, spicy 'nduja, local honey and sage. 📸 - Marinara mushrooms, ricotta, tomato, garlic, fresh oregano and olive oil
A cocktail a day keeps the doctor away... who’s with me 😉 I’m fairly particular when it comes to cocktails- I know what I like. And I love this grapefruit-cucumber cocktail. The recipe calls for gin but I use vodka (Tito’s personally) and it’s a great #summertime cocktail. . . . •Recipe• •1.5 oz gin of choice (or vodka) •2-3 oz freshly squeezed grapefruit juice •2-6 oz cucumber seltzer or regular seltzer •3-4 cucumber slices, thinly sliced •1/2 grapefruit slice, thinly sliced •ice Fill a glass with ice and add the alcohol, grapefruit juice, and seltzer. Muddle in 3-4 slices of cucumber and use any leftover as garnish along with the grapefruit slices. I love a spicy cocktail so I threw some sliced jalapeño in as well which gave it the perfect kick.
