Here comes another photo from #TheSteveArnoldPhotoCollection on #Kustomrama. Steve was a member of the #TridentsOfSouthernCalifornia car club from 1969 to 1972, and he has been kind enough to share some great photos and stories with us. This heavily massaged #1959ChevroletCustom was shot at the 1961 #TridentsRodCustomAutorama. Front end modifications included a rolled pan, a custom mesh grille, rounded hood corners, and Imperial-type headlights. After posting this photo on Facebook, Cory Vaughn could tell us that the car was restyled by Kustom Associated of Burbank, California for Joe DeSantin. "My Impala was very trick," Tom Von Pertz told me earlier this year as we were working on the history of the #TridentsOfSouthernCalifornia car club. Tom joined the club in 1960, After joining the club he bought a 1960 Chevrolet Impala that featured a bright red paint job with a bright pearl stripe painted by #BarrisKustoms in Lynwood. Unfortunately, we only have a black and white photo of Tom's trick Impala to share. Thanks to Steve Arnold, several old #TridentsOfSouthernCalifornia photos and stories have found their way to #Kustomrama lately. This photo shows Tom Von Pertz's #1954ChevroletCustom of Lynwood. Tom drove this Chevy when he joined the club in 1960, and he believes he was Trident #32. After joining the club, Tom became the editor of the Tridents newsletter, and he told us that he would write it up, and that club President Gary Canning would print it at his home print shop. Did you belong to any clubs back in the 1950s and the 1960s? ⠀ ⠀ #LynwoodCustom #CaliforniaCustom
