Andy had an excellent day today on our lures on Lake Ontario 🧨 . For those of you that don't know Andy has been fishing our lures since we first started TNT. I'm nearly positive he has every single color scheme that we have ever made even ones that we no longer make. Andy was over the other night for a visit and we gave him one of our new flutter spoons to try out on the water with a simple vinyl application to a green painted spoon, no top coat. As you can imagine the spoon got a few hits today a little shaker and then an 8 lb rainbow that absolutely destroyed it. And that is why we use the top coat that we do on all of our lures to prevent that from happening of course we will be providing Andy with a top coated version of that same spoon this was just a test run of a color scheme for the future. Turns out it produces 💥 . I had a conversation with an excellent angler today and I should definitely point something out and make it very clear every single post of a fish that Ty and I make has been genuinely caught on one of our lures. A well deserved fish out on the water in Lake O this past weekend . What is dedication? . Dedication is putting in the time, making it all work to do what you truly love. It's late nights spent making lures to fill orders and prepare stock, then catching two hours of shut eye before departing at 2:00am, making lengthy drives to get out on the water. It's the feeling of your heart sinking into your stomach after paying entry fees and making the costly journey when your recently repaired motor runs and then stalls out at the launch, then the ability to move past this challenge and make a game plan to use your 8hp kicker the entire day. It's the getting out of the harbour to your spot, trolling and seeing those rod tips bouncing at the bite of a big one, reeling through fleas, giving it everything to bring it into the boat because you refuse to loose one. It's hooking into a monster knowing it could've got you on the board only to have your leadcore snap, loosing your lure and spooling you out 420 feet into the depths still having the wherewithal to keep going and push on even though in your mind you're going over how you could've done things differently to prevent it . . Fishing is a rush, a passion and it's something Ty and I have both been doing for over 18 years on the Great Lakes, its tributaries, and salt water bodies across North America. Everyday we are learning and we can truly not explain how grateful we are to have such a supportive community. Yesterday we had our 6th offer to go out and fish with some of the best and we are so excited to work each invitation in to not only enjoy this time but to learn!
