Oh World Champs... 🌈 The wax on the candle is almost spent but I'd not have had it any different. Sixteen years separated the downhill Worlds at Fort William, and while I was full greenhorn in 07, the enormity of event was not lost on me. Fast forward to this year and to have pals like @loufergmtb *crushing* it made it all the better. Still processing that, a sleepless gallop to watch and try to capture the tidal wave of home support for my Pallyest Wally @isla_short was something I'll not soon forget. Throw in some @trashfreetrails paraphernalia to fly the 'Approved' event flag at probably the cleanest event going. Straight out from a press camp in the Pyrenees, I threw on a photo bib for the first time since watching the World Cup every year since World Champs rolled around in 07. I felt like an imposter the entire time. Found a renewed respect for those who stand on the hill all day shooting riders, that's some effort. Fully enjoyed the unique fizz and enormity that is World Championships though 🌈 So good to see the amount of people in remote parts of the Tweed Valley, just to cheer on the wee legend that is @isla_short.
