Oh no, another paper product. When a photo was posted in the FPN-P group about this notepad, I was surprised about its release. A few members like the quality and its FP friendly characteristics. The price and number of paper in the pack are enticing factors. With this notepad, Veco stands out in the notepad section of National Bookstore. It is a choice among the other local manufacturers, chinese made imports, and Rhodia/Clairefontaine. Price wise? This takes the cake. 200 sheets of 80gsm paper with a hard back for 150 pesos is a great deal, unless you want to shell out 80 sheets of Rhodia for 300 pesos, minimum. Paper quality and FP Friendly? Not so much and yes, to an extent. It is an 80gsm paper: better than a copier paper but not a board. No bleedthroughs or feathering, only moderate ghosting issues. Texture is leaning to a rough kind: similar to a high quality brown paper bag. Binding? Practical. No thick gauge staplers or irritating serrated punched lines. A perfect binding bound by red gum tape: similar to yellow pads. A suggestion though, retain the amount of paper in the pack but make it 2 sets of 100 sheets with the same hard back. 200 sheets in one binding is too thick and it would be a challenge to find a suitable planner that can accomodate. #fountainpenfriendlypapers #papers #notepads #vecopapercorporation
