Throwback to December 12, 2018 when Yvon Chouinard, founder of @patagonia, landed this impressive 6.35-kilogram (14-pound) mutton snapper while fishing @walkerscaybahamas. With this fish, Chouinard set the IGFA Men’s 10-kg (20 lb) Tippet Class World Record for the species. The record mutton struck his fly, and after a 5-minute fight he was able to land the snapper and record the weight on a certified scale before safely releasing the fish to fight another day.

Ran 15 miles SE to the cooler eddy feature off of Strangers Cay, 300 fathoms. Found 76-77 degree water holding bait, frigates and tunas. Three years ago I dove with @allen.exploration for the first time. The dive and artifacts were incredible, but what intrigued me most was @carlallen_aex passion for recovering lost artifacts from the Nuestra Señora de las Maravillas and his love for the Bahamas. I am a believer that without passion, you have nothing and there is no shortage here at AEX.
