বাংলাদেশ একজন দক্ষ চৌকস এবং মেধাবী বিমান সেনাকে হারাল। স্কোয়াড্রন লিডার আসীম জাওয়াদ ছিলেন বাংলাদেশ বিমানবাহিনীর একজন দক্ষ চৌকস কর্মকর্তা।সাভার ক্যান্টনমেন্ট পাবলিক স্কুল এন্ড কলেজ থেকে জাওয়াদ ২০০৭ সালে এস.এস.সি ও ২০০৯ সালে এইচ.এস.সি পরীক্ষায় জিপিএ- ৫ পেয়ে সাফল্যের সাথে উত্তীর্ণ হন। ২০১০ সালে তিনি (বাংলাদেশ এয়ারফোর্স একাডেমি)- তে যোগদান করেন। ২০১১ সালের ডিসেম্বর মাসে জাওয়াদ একজন পাইলট অফিসার হিসেবে কমিশন লাভ করেন। তিনি PT-6 , L-39ZA , F-7MB, F-BG1 ইত্যাদি যুদ্ধ বিমান চালিয়েছেন দক্ষতার সাথে। তিনি ছিলেন F-7MG1 এর অপারেশনাল পাইলট ও এলিমেন্ট লিডার । "ডেমোক্রেটিক রিপাবলিক অব কঙ্গোতে " জাতিসংঘের মিশনে তিনি দায়িত্ব পালন করেন। বিভিন্ন কোর্সে অংশ নেন চীন, ভারত, তুরস্ক ও পাকিস্তানে। দায়িত্ব পালন করেন ফ্লাইং ইনস্ট্রাক্টর'স স্কুল অফ বি.এ.এফ - এ স্টাফ ইনস্ট্রাক্টর হিসেবে। প্রশিক্ষণ জীবনে আসীম জাওয়াদ সকল বিষয়ের শ্রেষ্ঠত্বের জন্য পেয়েছেন গৌরবমণ্ডিত "সোর্ড অফ অনার"। "ফ্লাইং ইনস্ট্রাক্টরস" কোর্সে শ্রেষ্ঠত্বের জন্য পেয়েছেন "মফিজ ট্রফি"। এছাড়া তার দায়িত্বশীলতা ও কর্মক্ষেত্রে দক্ষতার জন্য প্রশংসা পেয়েছেন চিফ অফ এয়ার স্টাফ থেকে।দুই সন্তানের জনক আসীম জাওয়াদের বৃহস্পতিবার গৌরবময় জীবন অবসান ঘটেছে নিজের দক্ষ হাতে চালিত যুদ্ধ বিমানেই। (ইন্নালিল্লাহে ওয়াইন্না ইলাইহি রাজিউন)। বিমানে আগুন ধরে যাওয়ার পর পাইলট জাওয়াদ ও কো-পাইলট প্যারাসুটের সাহায্যে নেমে আসতে সক্ষম হলেও জাওয়াদ গুরুতর আহত হয়েছিলেন। তাকে নৌবাহিনী হাসপাতালে ভর্তির পর দুপুর সাড়ে ১২টার দিকে তার মৃত্যু হয়।আজ শুক্রবার ১০ মে তার নিজ জেলা মানিকগঞ্জে দাফন করা হয়। #bangladeshairforce #wemourn #islam #allah #allahuakbar #muslim #mumin #iman #muslimummah #ummah #oneummah #muslimcommunity #alhamdulilah #mashaallah #bangladesh #dhaka #chittagong #bengali #bengalimuslim #humanity

The things we missed out on, not to count all the little things that would have become the big things. What we mourn, because we have already dreamt a whole life with our babies once we had 2 pink lines. By the 6th pregnancy test, those dreams have gained wings to fly. Telling our partner, it became our dreams, cemented. Seeing your LC, it became the glorious times they would have as buddies, siblings. And then the screening, and it starts to come crashing down and you still try to frantically hold on to your dreams with clawing fingers, desperately looking for false positives, hoping to any moment get good news. Scrambling to stay alert to make decisions, battling to keep fears at bay. And then the diagnosis, and you now start to mourn your dreams. Sorrow for what ails your baby. Sorrow for yourself, having to decide whether this is a life that can be sustained. Mournfully sweeping through the ruins of your hopes and dreams, to determine what your values are on quality of life, meaning, purpose, pain, suffering. Weighing up what you had wanted for your babe against what they’re likely to have. Not even having the respite of knowing exactly how badly they would be affected. Questioning yourself, your God, your heart. And now, you’re still plagued by the dreams of the baby you should have had. When you wonder why and feel guilty and shamed and angry and resentful, it’s the perfect baby you see. Tortured by what would actually have never been. You also mourn who you said goodbye to, the baby whose body was not going to work as intended. The baby YOU had to choose to let go. And you doubt yourself, could I have made it? Would it have been so bad? And then there’s the baby that would have been. The one you don’t know how afflicted they would have been. The real one you can’t see and should realistically be the only one to mourn. It sucks. Those big moments belonged to us. We were robbed. By genetics of all things. Basic cell division. We mourn the moments that wouldn’t have been possible anyway. We mourn.

"Peter was born in Newark NJ on July 31st, 1930. A Korean War vet, Peter was drafted and proudly joined the 11th airborne paratroopers of Fort Campbell, KY. He met Anna at work and they married on July 5th, 1952. The sudden death of Climate Expert Professor Dr. Saleemul Huq deeply mourns us. He passed away on 28 October 2023, at approximately 10 pm at his Gulshan residence. Saleemul Huq OBE, a Bangladeshi-British scientist, served as the Director of the International Centre for Climate Change & Development (ICCCAD) in Bangladesh and held a professorship at the Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB). In 2022, he earned recognition as one of Nature's 10 Ones. His expertise encompassed climate change, environmental matters, and development, with a strong focus on exploring the connections between climate change mitigation, adaptation, and sustainable development, particularly from the perspective of developing nations, including the least developed countries (LDCs). Furthermore, he made valuable contributions to the Fifth Assessment Report of the IPCC. Saleemul Huq also held roles as a Senior Fellow at the International Institute for Environment & Development (IIED) in the UK and as a Senior Adviser specializing in locally-led adaptation at the Global Centre on Adaptation (GCA).
