I had to agree with Nate that it's sometimes better to have smaller meets, especially if you want to talk to people and actually get to know them. On top of that, larger meets are harder to approach people if you're new to the scene. It can be intimidating to make new friends as an adult that doesn't involve alcohol and barhopping. In a way, I see these kinds of car meets as creating temporary (and legally ambiguous) third places, something that seems so tough to find locally... You would think police stations would be the perfect location for car meets, honestly, if there wasn't such a misunderstanding of what a gathering of car loving folks means. So, yeah! A few weeks ago I was thrilled to be asked to head out to the VSCC Silverstone Spring Start Up to work with a company that don’t just make wheels… I’d say they create circular rolling art wrapped in a tyre. That company would be the world renowned @turrinowheels . After a long wait, we can finaly show you @luca_.strong AERO RINGS, centercaps and metal inserts everything was based on a full 3d-scan. where i found out the wheels where drilled in 5x114 rather than 5x112, wich didn't affect the design but it was a nice testament to hox accurate 3d-scanning is The rings use a sandwich methode for the mounting and follow the wheel curvature perfectly The hexcaps have a locking mechanisme in the back, so they are firmly fixed to the wheel And last of all, the metal printed printed centers caps.
