Picked up some wiring for my Auto water sprayer project, this completes the wiring portion needs. - I found these in a 2004 Outback which uses the same plugs and makes life just a bit easier. I also noticed that they have a joined power and ground source, which can make it that much easier to wire in. - Now I just need to find some free time and wire up the switches. Run some power to my boost sensing Hobb's switch and then see if it works! Light at the end of the tunnel… The front bumper, lip and under trays are done. There are so many bolts and clips on a CR front end I am surprised. The @devsport splitter is prepped and ready to be mounted. I am waiting on some spacers that will fill in the air gaps under the bumper. Without those, tightening the splitter will pull the bumper down probably permanently distorting it. We don’t want that. The dirty and dusty engine bay has yet to be addressed. It’s going to take a lot of cleaning to get it on par with the rest of the car. I wish I had a new engine harness but I am not going to worry about that at this time. I think I am going to order another hood insulator. I am trying to let the chargespeed side skirts grow on me some more. I am hesitant on drilling those holes to mount it until I am absolutely convinced I like them. What do you guys think? My other option is some other more subtle carbon fiber ones. The entire car now has LEDs. The headlights are originally HID and it will stay that way because I like those more. Turn signals, city lights, sidmarkers and all interior lights now are LEDs. Turn signals are supported by a resistor type flasher relay. The rear diffuser is becoming my favorite part of the whole process. I deviated from the original instructions sent by JDP. I just could not rely on double sided tape. I understand why they do that as some people wouldn’t want to drill into their bumper as I have. But I can completely trust it not falling off 😂. Of course I had to add some OEM trim and molding edge guard to take care of small imperfections in gaps. Next is finishing the splitter then backing it outside to enjoy the progress. I then need to button up the last bits of interior pieces and focus on the seats. The seats will no longer be slide adjustable so if you ever ride with me one time don’t bother lol. It is what it is. I had to delete the sliders so I can lower the seats. I think they will be around 2” lower. That’s it for now! This month has been full of progress for me. Started off with giving the GS400 my old hood while acquiring one in better condition for the 430. Next up was the A/C situation. If you've rode in my GS you know that it's stuck on defrost. After replacing the blend door actuator I have access to all vent settings again. To make things even better for me I finally recharged my A/C system My wheels were getting crusty so I repainted them to an OE looking color. Installed 15mm spacers all around to finally close up the wheel gap. Had to install extended studs since the O.Z. Salinas mounting side is flat and stock studs are too short. After 60,000ish miles the stock calipers in the front began to seize on both sides..so I upgraded to Supra calipers. There's way more that I've done that I can't remember this month lol. Just a bunch of quality of life updates. Kept pushing and made a little progress on the cooling system on the back of the block. New OEM coolant pipe that connects the water pump to the thermostat housing, new OEM thermostat housing and new OEM thermostat housing outlet. The OBD-I style thermostat housing is discontinued, which had a third coolant outlet to the bypass pipe and fast idle thermo valve. Instead, I figured out the OBD-II style is identical but without the coolant fitting and instead a blank bung. Had someone drill and tap for a 1/8-27 NPT coolant barb fitting and looks pretty good! Added a little Hondabond to the O-rings on the coolant connecting pipe, a tip I saw on @acurahondaclassic YouTube just in case there are any issues in the casting where the O-ring seats.
