There isn’t a one-size-fits-all way to win at our Habit of the Week. I have seen various successful approaches. Some people spend two uninterrupted hours at the beginning of every day on the one thing that will make the biggest impact. I’ve also seen people who ‘swallow the frog first.’ They do the ickiest task that they hate or resist at the beginning of the day.⠀<br />.⠀<br />For many entrepreneurs, this looks like some version of doing the kind of sales work we explore in Habit #8 of my Amazon international bestselling book.⠀<br />.⠀<br />A good practice is to schedule large, general blocks of time in your calendar. Look 2-3 weeks out from today and put important big items in even though you may not know the details right now. These blocks could be things like 'Sales,’ 'Networking,' 'Blog Writing,' 'Planning,' 'Biggest Difference Maker,’ etc. ⠀<br />.⠀<br />When you get close to the 'Biggest Difference Maker,' time block, you decide then what is the most important. Are you going to launch your new program? Find sponsors? Spend the time on sales? Do what is going to make the biggest difference to your business at that point, or, absolutely equally important, what is going to make the biggest difference to your level of energy and state of mind. ⠀<br />.⠀<br />Set up your 168 hours based on your priorities in your business and in other areas of your life.
