They can be reused again and again, even after the party is over, for imaginative play and learning. Your superheroes can ‘rescue’ them all and you can reuse the bag for our super power lucky dip. Which super power will you be? Fast, strong and more...! Why do we need to rescue the insects? More than 40% of insect species are declining and a third are currently endangered. They are being lost at a rate eight times faster than that of mammals, birds and reptiles and are essential for our planet to function, so what can we do? A simple action is to provide the habitat they need where we can. In your garden, for example, take part in this week’s #wilderfuturechallenge and plant some wildflowers, maybe build a bug house or just let an area in your garden grow wild. 🌱🌳🌸 Any of these acts can help to make a difference. Together we can ensure we have a ‘Wilder Future’ for our children.
