It’s been 6 years since I’ve visited Penang and this clay pot Bak Kut Teh is just as good as I remember it. The literal translation for Bak Kut Teh is pork bone tea - a herbal soup cooked with pork on the bone. This soup is a balance of herbal, sweet, savory and with most of the pig parts - pork ribs, intestines, skin, trotters, belly. They even top up the soup for you! I’m so glad some things never change.
