One of the more challenging things for Traycen is patience.⠀⠀
I mean, patience is a pretty hard concept for any child to learn. For Traycen, it‘s been near impossible.⠀⠀

Don’t get me wrong, it has gotten a LOT better now that “time” is not such an abstract concept to him. But he still doesn’t like to wait (who does?)—and can be downright rude when he has to wait. ⠀⠀

So we’re working on it.⠀⠀
⠀⠀
Waiting in lines.⠀⠀
Waiting for his food.⠀⠀
Waiting for his brother⠀⠀
⠀⠀
We have to get crafty.⠀⠀
Concoct distractors. ⠀⠀
Have him jump or do some sensory exercise. ⠀⠀
Just constructive ways to fill the empty time.⠀⠀

We’re also working on the WAY he addresses people when he has to wait. (Check out the two vids on #IGTV).⠀⠀

And ya know the cool thing about helping Traycen through his annoyance with waiting?!⠀⠀

We have to draw from and exercise our own...⠀⠀
