Let’s talk PERIODS.<br />.<br />Extra bloat. Fatigue. Mood swings. Cramps. Depression. Anxiety. <br />.<br />You wake up and your monthly visitor has shown up. Your cramping, tired, so bloated your pants don’t fit, and you want to eat everything in sight. <br />.<br />As Elle Woods once said, “Exercise gives you endorphins and endorphins make you happy.” Working out on your period is beneficial for you in so many ways. Endorphins are also your body’s natural pain reliever, so increased levels can help soothe those awful cramps, aches and pains. <br />.<br />Stay hydrated. I know - seems counter productive when you are feeling SO bloated. Actually, drinking a gallon of water a day keeps you from being bloated and we need ALL the water during that time of the month ladies.<br />.<br />CRAVINGS😬. Don’t be afraid to let yourself give in to those cravings girlfriend!! 10 years down the road, you are not going to care that you ate that bowl of ice cream or indulged in that piece of pizza. It’s okay to allow yourself food freedom, as long as it doesn’t take you down the rabbit hole of binge eating. <br />.<br />Lastly, don’t forget to rest. Sometimes our body just needs some good old rest. Get your 7-8 hours of zzz’s. Don’t skip out on the things that help your body recover.<br />.<br />I used to skip my workouts and healthy habits during my period, and now I push myself harder to get those workouts in and drink all the water.
