This is me getting my workout in while on vacation with my family. My husband snuck up on me and got this pic. 💛 I’m posting this because I think many of us struggle with balancing family time and “me” time. My routine is so different when I’m on vacation. I want to sleep in a bit, get in QT with the family — but I also make movement a priority because I want to feel my best. I know I need to move to feel great. 🧘🏻
It was getting late in the day and I was worried I wouldn’t be able to fit it in. We were headed to the beach and I told myself it was ok if I didn’t workout today but I was bummed. 😞I could of stayed back, but I didn’t want to miss the beach with my family. When I got there I thought - I can totally get a quick without in! 🙌🏽 For about 1 minute I thought… what are these people going to think when they see me exercising? All sorts of things ran through my mind…and then I thought- who cares what they think! What they are thinking is their problem, not mine. I am just going to focus on me and how I feel. ✨ It felt empowering to let all that go and do what I wanted to do. A few years ago I would not have had the confidence to do that. I was proud of myself for letting that go and getting it done! 💪🏽I felt great and after a few minutes of a few looks, they forgot about me and they were back to doing their thing. 😎 Make yourself a priority. You deserve it. Rest when you need to but move everyday, even if you have a small window of time. You will always be happy that you did. 💛
