Waimea Canyon, also known as "The Grand Canyon of the Pacific" is such a breathtaking gem of nature. The rain stopped just as we left our hike in the state park and the rainbows started popping up everywhere. It was crispy cool outside and smelled like wet garden soil and fresh rain. The smell of the flowers and fermenting fruit never leaves your face on this island. I love it!
