Urbanization and access to affordable digital cameras have made photography accessible to many people in developing countries. This research seeks to understand how Mongolian herder society engages with photography through a co-participation project in which I have given 12 herder families cameras. This engagement with their cameras offers a personal perspective of their world and investigates photo-documentary practices.
