Thank you to everyone who joined our protest yesterday. Trade unionists, Hong Kong community groups and other supporters gathered outside the Chinese Embassy in a powerful display of international solidarity. We demanded freedom for the #HongKong47 and all persecuted trade union & democracy activists in Hong Kong. We spoke up for trade union freedoms and democratic rights in Hong Kong and China. And we called on the British government to end its hypocritical assault on migrants, and instead welcome refugees fleeing persecution and tyranny, whether from Hong Kong or anywhere else.

Finally, we sang union anthem #SolidarityForever together, in English and Cantonese. The bonds between workers around the world, and the collective power in our hands, are our hope in the face of oppression and exploitation - the union makes us strong!
