A full preview of tomorrow’s shop update is available to view on my website!! These fluted bowls, coated in a luscious green glaze, will be part of the sale. I love the feathery patterns where the glaze breaks over crisp edges, and the variety of warm and cool green tones this glaze creates depending on where a given piece is in the kiln. The colors remind me of ferns, fir needs, and moss covered rocks. A few of these images highlight iron speckles that occasionally peek through the glaze, and the orange halos of flashing that emerge on the unglazed feet.

I threw these bowls from 1.5 pounds of @standardclaycompany 182 stoneware and carved them with a @mudtools fluting tool. Once bisque-fired and before glazing, I smoothed and refined all the edges and surfaces using @diamondcoretools sanding pads/paper. I glazed these bowls @gasworksnyc 🔥
