A post for my girlies who are going through the highs and lows of body transformation...

Things change, priorities change, bodies change.

Stop comparing yourself to where you used to be 5, 10, 30 years ago....

Health and fitness is a life-long journey of personal growth and self-discovery.

The theif of enjoying that process is being so overly consumed with where you're NOT.

"I used to wear size 0 jeans"
"I used to weigh 115 pounds"
"I was in my best shape before I had kids"

That's great, but that was then.. and this is now.

Maybe you're a new mom and frustrated with your postpartum body...

Maybe you competed and your body rebounded afterward...

Maybe you feel like you "let yourself go"....

Maybe you're a college kid who gained a few pounds in the first semester...

SO WHAT!

I've been almost every single one of these too. What helped me is understanding that each stage/body/phase serves a purpose in the big picture.

You might not see it now.. but maybe it's just a learning phase... understanding what not to do, how to navigate new priorities/responsibilities, how to improve, what works for you/what doesn't.

So rather than ruminating on where you once were, feeling bad for yourself, & letting that put a halt to any forward moving progress..

OWN where you are right now.

Figure out what lessons you need to learn.

And just keep going... because if you do, you're guaranteed to get there eventually.

But if you don't... you never will.
