The Oakholm Gala 👑🥏⛓️
I’m late to the game in my posting recap but wow, what a tournament to kick off my first ever FPO singles event. An amazing day with an incredible group of women and one of my best friends and caddy for the day @skipwinter (you’re the real MVP). I struggle with my mental game in tournaments, trying to remain competitive while still making sure I have fun is a tough one for me.
First round was a struggle, playing my worst round I ever had at Oakholm. Some bad luck off off the tee and up shots but mainly lacking the confidence in myself. Second round I was able to turn all the nerves off (for the most part) and finally started finding my groove and playing my game. My goal was to finish somewhere middle of the pack and finishing top 10 for the tournament definitely felt great! I went into this season knowing it would be a huge year of learning and growth and I’m already seeing that.
This season I’ve chosen to mix in fun doubles tournaments inbetween the singles and so far I have zero regrets! This past weekend I played the spring doubles at Westy where my partner and I took 2nd and upcoming this weekend you can catch me at the Webster wobble.
My next singles event will be Spring Fever and I’m feeling more confident and ready than ever!
