@pdga Champions Cup 🔥🏆 presented by @bushnell_disc Aside from the terrible weather on Friday and still recovering from contracting Lyme disease, I really enjoyed my first ever FPO Major!!! It’s exciting being at this transition period in which my game, consistency, & confidence are continually growing. There’s so much to learn & this journey has been quite the experience. I’ve said this in the past, but it’s been a long time: I never ever would have imagined my life looking like this. With all of my stomach/health issues, even the idea of traveling so much sounded just horrible! It’s certainly been a challenge, but I know I’m where I’m supposed to be. It’s been an exciting journey! I was extremely happy with my putting all 3 rounds! This almost never happens! There’s usually at least 1 round in a tournament in which my putting sucks or is just a little off, so to be able to finally pull out 3 good rounds of putting, is very rewarding! What a refreshing weekend with the pugs! I've been stressed has heck since February over my meniscus progress and all that goes into preparing to move. This weekend I took the trailer out for some me time/pup time. I highly recommend Addison Oaks for a weekend trip and will probably be back to the campground so I can squeeze in more of what the park has to offer. Of course I choose a campground with a disc golf course. I played the full 18 (shorts) with no pain. Driving felt less foreign. Putts started to feel more confident. Distance and power are lacking but that's probably because I'm a bit of a noodle right now. Swedish Amature Team Championship spelades på hemmaplan i Örebro och genom snö, kyla, lera och tillslut lite sol, skrattade vi oss hela vägen fram till guldet! Är så sjukt stolt över mitt lag som slitit så hårt för att tro på sig själva, träna och leverera under press! Wow! 🥳🥰🤩 Och finalen kom så visade vi varför vi tagit oss dit men en trygg seger och bucklan blev vår! Så kul och så välförtjänt! Bah. That’s how I describe SDGPT Valhall Open. I had a really good feeling going into the tournament. My technique changes felt good, putting felt good and I was excited. I had zero expectations, but I wasn’t prepared for what happened inside of me. The first round I totally forgot my form and just thought of the throws, lines and trees. I also felt so disconnected from myself and didn’t feel anything during the round. I don’t know how or why, but I didn’t care if I took par or a triple on the holes… I started round two trying to find myself back and on the third hole I realized that I had went back to my previous form, so as soon as I focused on my form and did like I’ve practiced I actually threw pretty good. But not good enough on either second or third round. Coming back from two pregnancies and first ever big tournament, I try to be kind to myself. But I’ve also realized what my weaknesses is and what I have to focus on: putting confidence on raised baskets and dangerous greens, trusting my shots in tight lines or weird shots, keeping focus after the first 9 holes and just keep competing and be comfortable in it 💪🏼 Next week: SDGPT Västervik! I’m excited and I take Valhall with me as a lesson. I’m going to do my best and have fun! Haikko Open 2024 Kävin tutustumassa viikonloppuna Haikossa oman seuran järjestämään kisaan pop-up radalla.Lauantain oli itselle pääpäivä. Kisa, kisapaikka sekä sää suosi osallistujaa🌅. Harmikseen tulos sen sijaan ei suosinut heittäjäänsä. Tasasen varmaa, mutta tuloksetonta🫥. Ehkä meni siihen, kun oli täysin uusi ja vieras rata. Sunnuntai oli kaikille avoin kisapäivä, joten kisaan pystui lähtemään rennoin meiningein. Kierros ei startannut vahvasti, mutta loppua kohden pelifiilis yltyi. Eaglenkin pääsin tykittämään💪🏽. Toinen kierros meni tutusti, tasaisesti ja minimaalisin virhein. Eli hyvin, mutta ei kyllin hyvin😅 Tasaisuutta ja tarkkuutta draiviin on kehittynyt. This Saturday, myself as well as our local disc golf community came together for a doubles fundraiser event for our great friend @lapierterry He is such a great disc golfer and community member. Whenever any of us needed any sort of help, Terry had always been there. He's put hundreds of hours of work into our local courses and everyone can see just how passionate he is about growing our community.
