This is a very strange and impressive species, endemic to western and central Morocco (between the Atlantic Ocean, the Rif, the Moyen Atlas and the Haut Atlas), where it can be abundant in the right places and at the right seasons. It can very often be found on the flowers of Acacia sp. where they feed on flowers. It can show a large number of different colors (green, blue, purple, copper, gold, brown to black) in the same population, but there are also monochromatic populations. Typical for its elytra with dense pubescence.
