Hey everyone & happy Monday ☺️ I wanted to share this with you all as it truly made my day recieving these, not that I do the work for rewards, but I guess that is what makes this even more special! As you can see, there's also a purple and orange bone. These got given after they found out my other dogs accessory colours too. Sookie's is orange & it'll be nearly a year since we said our final goodbyes, so receiving that nearly had me in tears (happy tears). How cute are these? So well made too! This is why we do what we do, to help brighten people's day. There's no need to ask "whatsa up", "how are you doing", or try to dig into the lives we come into contact with via our work. Most people think my job is all cuddles, fetch, and treats, but I work hard to provide support and comfort to families who are experiencing tough moments. I recently provided comfort to a family as they suffered the loss of their child. I participated in their child’s honor walk, showing them love and support. Here I am lining up with staff. After this photo was taken, the halls were full of even more caring staff showing their support! An honor walk is when hospital staff line the hallways as a patient makes their way to the OR for organ donation. Auch ich bringe Bedürfnisse und Fähigkeiten mit. Wir bilden eine Gemeinschaft auf Zeit während dem Setting und dabei sollen sich im besten Fall alle Beteiligten wohlfühlen können! Zudem möchte ich mit meinen Angeboten auch die Themen der Kita aufnehmen und bearbeiten. Zurzeit ist die Fußball EM unser Thema. Letze Woche haben wir im Setting Tore gebastelt, diese Woche kommt durch eine Fitness Runde mit dem Schwerpunkt Fußmotorik Bewegung ins Spiel. Dieses Setting ist für unsere Schmetterlinge, die vierjährigen Kinder, geplant und wird diese Woche unser aktiver Einsatz in der Kita sein. Over the past few weeks, Monte has become an increasingly more frequent visitor of CFIH’s (due to his declining cognitive capacity and difficulty being left unattended). In fact, he’s in the clinic more often than not these days - prompting discussions as to whether it’s time for CFIH to have a therapy dog? Fantastic session with Layton recently. To the untrained eye we are "just" playing crazy golf, but it wouldn't be a Lobster session without some incidental learning. We were developing gross & fine motor skills, hand-to-eye co-ordination, turn taking, building language communication & understanding, building confidence, taking risks, measuring angles and mental arithmetic ... at the same time as having LOTS of fun!!!! Our sweet foster babies are all adopted!!! Before even going back to our favorite shelter, loving families have chosen all of them! Long-term hospital stays might have a negative psychosocial impact on patients but one way to positively activate hospitalized patients is to introduce animal-assisted therapy or visitation animals #visitation . A statistically significant relationship in a research study was seen between the success rate for scores on the Likert scale and the chosen form of therapy. We are in the middle of May and I feel like I’ve been catapulted here from somewhere in March! 😲 I realise that I notice less and less about which actual month we are in and more and more of what is happening as the season changes and which bit needs my attention next….or yesterday or last week even!! 😆 This week I noticed that the wild garlic is producing seed so the time left for harvesting is shortening and that the rhubarb growing down The Arch is sending up stalks at a BONKERS rate and needed pulling NOW! So yesterday saw us down in the woods, picking the leaves and digging up the rampant bulbs of our wild garlic. On our way we cut a huge basket of rhubarb and pulled a load of cheeky buttercups out that were strangling the raspberries. End of day and we had a good amount of pesto made and in the freezer. The rhubarb had been washed and chopped and it too is stashed in the freezer. We have jars of wild garlic bulbs marinading in the last of 2023’s honey now sitting on a shelf in the pantry. I did the honey garlic thing for the first time last year and it quickly became a ‘go to’ favourite 💚 The honey infused bulbs were used in our cooking and the garlic flavoured honey went into dressing for salads and sauces 😋 The to do list for today is ridiculous 😂 #season #harvest #oftheland #ecology #sustainability

It was interesting to watch the changes in the horses with each child. This program evolves every Term. I’m brought some new learning from Germanys training and implemented into today’s session. Hallo ich bin Jim - Jim Knopf und ich glaube es wird Zeit für eine Vorstellung hier. Ich bin ein kleiner Zwergdackel und aktuell noch bei meiner Mutter und meinen Geschwistern. Ich habe meine zukünftige Familie schonmal kennenlernen dürfen, ich denke die sind ganz in Ordnung und ich werde sicher viel Spaß haben. Ich werde Ende Juni umziehen ❤️ Ich habe gehört ich soll ein Therapiedackel werden, wie cool ist das denn? Meine neuen Menschen haben wohl viel mit vielen verschiedenen Menschen zutun, manche davon sind noch ganz Klein, andere schon sehr Alt und einige auch schwer Krank. Meine neuen Menschen besuchen schon seit Jahren mit ihren anderen Vierbeinern, das sind große Hunde mit ganz langen Haaren (ich glaube die Menschen nennen es Ponys) Altersheime, Hospize, Vereine oder einfach Menschen die eine Aufmunterung, Ablenkung oder einfach mal Fell in der Hand haben müssen. Ich soll auch ein Teil davon werden und werde meinen Job sicher ganz toll meistern, ich meine, wer kann meinem Blick bitte widerstehen und muss nicht sofort anfangen zu lächeln? ☺️ Mein Name ist doch ganz passend dazu, Jim Knopf hat auch großen und kleinen Menschen Freude bereitet und ihnen geholfen und das werde ich sicher auch tun. Ich würde mich freuen, wenn der ein oder andere meinen Weg hier verfolgen möchte und wen man hier alles kennenlernt.
