OÖ. Operettenwettbewerbs einer prominent besetzten Jury bestehend aus Intendant*innen, Dirigent*innen und Agenturen. Folgende Nachwuchstalente konnten die Jury/ das Publikum von sich überzeugen: 🥇 1. Preis: Christoph Gerhardus (Bariton) 🥈 2. Preis: Felix Lodel (Bass) 🥉 3. Preis: Sophie Bareis (Sopran) 💯 Der Publikumspreis ging an Ksenia Skorokhodova (Sopran) Zusätzlich zum Geld- und Publikumspreis wurden Engagements vergeben. Final session of the week 🤘🏻 Couldn’t go to the gym because an inservice day was sprung on me so the boy was home! Did swap out DB Curl for GHR being as the one at the gym has vanished so that was a little bonus, also no 22.5kg DB’s @ home so was forced in to using the 25’s 🥵 for BG Split Squats! & everything else was pretty decent! First up was @orlowski_maciek benching in the <125kg ABPU Open class. Coming in as the reigning British champion, Maciek went 3 for 3, finishing with a comp PB of 207.5kg, winning his class (by a massive 22.5kg)🥇 and remaining British Champion. Maciek also had the great honour of being drug tested, which he was very pleased with 🙂 Next up was @lello.lc70 deadlifting in the <67.5kg BPU M5 class. To be at a national competition, that’s at a big expo, in only your 2nd comp ever, could be quite daunting. But despite the pressure, Lesley opened to 3 white lights. Unfortunately a little hitch at the top of both 2nd and 3rd attempts meant that despite lifting 90kg, twice, she had to settle for just her opener. However… at 61, she was the only lifter in her age group, so was still lucky enough to come away with 🥇🙂

Vergangenes Wochenende setzten wir vielfältige Akzente. 🎶 Das Orchesterkonzert im Großen Saal am Sonntag, 19.05. wurde von Dirigentin Sian Edwards dirigiert und verband Igor Strawinski mit Zeitgenössischem von Carola Bauckholt, Christoph Cech und ausgewählten Kompositionen von Studierenden. Musikalisch vielfältig waren auch die übrigen Konzerte im Mittleren Saal: Joseph Blank dirigierte selten gehörte Bläserserenaden von Richard Strauss. Das Institut für Jazz 🎷und Improvisierte Musik lud unter Martin Stepanik zu musikalischen Quantensprüngen ein und das Institut ALT zu einem interaktiven Tanzkonzert. ☺️ So führten die Tänzerinnen des Ensembles „𝐿𝑒𝑠 𝑃𝑙𝑎𝑖𝑠𝑖𝑟𝑠 𝑑𝑒 𝑙𝑎 𝐷𝑎𝑛𝑠𝑒“ unter der Leitung von Elisabeth Wiesbauer barocke Bühnentänze mit Originalchoreographien zu Tanzsätzen von J.-B. Lully, M. Marais, F. Couperin, A.C. Destouches und A. Dornel vor. Unter der Anleitung von Margit Legler (Professorin für Historischen Tanz und Historische Schauspielkunst MUK Wien) wurde auch das Publikum in die hohe Kunst des Barocken Tanzes eingeführt und zum Mittanzen eingeladen! @sarahlou.lifts awesome performance yesterday at ABPU British Single Lift Champs 2024 Her lifts for the day were: ✅️ 132.5kg ✅️ 142.5kg ❌️ 150kg Whilst we were only there for deadlifts, we didn’t want to finish the day feeling like we’d potentially left something in the tank. We wanted to know Sarah had worked to her limit. So, rather than going a bit more conservative with her last attempt, we gave the 150 a shot. Although it wasn’t quite there today, it gave us plenty to look at improving to make sure we destroy it in the future. The numbers Sarah achieved are something to be proud of in itself, but I was incredibly proud with her mental resilience after her third attempt. She didn’t get upset, she was glad she did it, and the fire was in her eyes to do everything she can to get it next time. Her efforts earnt her another medal 🥈 and a qualification for AWPC Worlds in Ireland. The return to the platform this weekend felt so good, going into this off a string of silly injuries and problems I was worried I wouldnt even be able to deadlift at all but ended up attempting a comp pb match (I missed but getting to that point in the first place took a lot 😅). Went 3/3 on a conservative bench showing, hitting 130, 140 and then 145kg. 10kg up from my last comp and a good start to the return of my bench. Went 2/3 on deadlift with my 1st and 2nd feeling great but pushing myself just a little to far on the third to try and get 1st, next time for sure 💪I hit 230 and 240kg before failing on a pb match of 250. Huge thanks to @benchincredibles for hosting an incredible event as always and to the staff there that really go above and beyond. British Single Lifts 2024 🔥 T3 U52 British Champion Weighed in at 50.95kg and opened on British, European and World Record 🫡 📹1 - 162.5kg 🔴⚪️⚪️ +7.5kg (3.2x BW) 📹2 - 157.5kg ⚪️⚪️⚪️ +2.5kg 📹3 - 150kg ⚪️⚪️⚪️ I took the T3 u52kg World and European record by +40kg and won the Best Teen&Jr Lifter Award. I also had the biggest opener and biggest deadlift of the flight which was pretty sick too. Single lifts last year 150kg was my third lift and PB - this year we opened on it, at a lighter bodyweight 😮💨 - Was lovely to spend the weekend with @_tiny_tank_ and compete with her again (we make one hell of a push/pull athlete between us👀). Unter dem Motto „Über den Tellerrand!“ beschäftigten sich die Schüler*innen der NMS Leonardo da Vinci und anderer Linzer Schulen mit Definitionen ihrer eigenen Komfortzone und was es für sie bedeutet, über den Tellerrand zu schauen. Vor begeistertem Publikum präsentierten sie ihre selbst entwickelte humorvolle Elementare Musik Performance, die von filmischen Interviewszenen und sightspezifischen Videoclips (Film: Herbert Gutauer) bereichert wurde. Die Szenen der Schüler*innen (Coaching: Cornelia Vorreiter) waren dramaturgisch mit den künstlerischen Beiträgen der Student*innen des Studiengangs Elementare Musikpädagogik verwoben. Die gesanglichen, tänzerischen und rhythmischen Performances des EMP-Teams berührten, regten zum Schmunzeln an und beeindruckten in ihrer Qualität und Vielfalt: so gab es beispielsweise einen auf Tellern und Geschirr musizierten Samba, ein Klavierstück zu vier Händen, ein Gesangsduett oder einen melancholischen Walzer zu sehen und hören. Die Beiträge waren inspiriert durch die von den Jugendlichen gestellten Fragen: Was bedeutet es für dich aus der Komfortzone zu treten? Ein gelungener Abend voller Musikalität, Tanz und Humor für die Künstler*innen und für die weit über 300 Besucher*innen. Competition recap. So as explained on a post last week, had absolutely no idea what to expect going into this. Only just made it into my weight class yesterday, weighing the lightest I've ever weighed in a sanctioned comp at 83.15kg. Somehow, despite being a bit disappointed as top lift was under what I've done before, it all came together on the day. Lift videos are in reverse order so heaviest/final attempt is shown first. Opener : 230kg ⚪️⚪️⚪️ 2nd : 245kg ⚪️⚪️⚪️ 3rd : 252.5kg 🔴⚪️⚪️ First two lifts were fairly straightforward. As is customary now, final lift had to be a grind, in hindsight I should have asked what the red light was for but was too caught in the moment. Finished 3rd in what was a very competitive class and with that also an invite to Worlds in August. Given how I felt going into this, I am delighted with that result. First time doing a single lift comp and it just happened to be the A/BPU Single Lift Championships at the FitXPO in Manchester! Took home silver on the day with a 275kg (equal comp PB) deadlift. Went for 287.5kg but my back was having none of it so only the 1 lift today (clearly taking single lift too literally). Not what I wanted in terms of numbers but given I had a complete mental shit show deadlifting these last 2 weeks to the point I thought I’d barely get 250 off the ground I am very happy with today. Plus qualification to Worlds was on the cards and now I am going to Ireland in August! 😁 Great run comp by @british_powerlifting_union was definitely a stage I enjoyed being on. Thankfully I had @soph_powerbreed to make sure I even made it to the platform with a few necessary sessions this week and being the best damn coach going. Massively thankful to having @misskaybear86 by my side through everything. It’s not easy but she’s my absolute rock and makes me believe I can do anything. The road to 300kg continues! Las restricciones unilaterales sin base científica no son buenas, lo que significa que necesitamos recuperar la gobernanza global, a través de una acción conjunta entre la entidad pública y el sector privado”. Still losing weight despite trying to eat over 2100 cals a day on this stupid low fodmap diet that’s making me lose the will!! 😌🤦♀️ This is the most challenging period of training I’ve come across in my powerlifting journey so far. Training was fairly humbling today considering my week off an essentially my deload was spent in the Pyrenees mountains on horse back for 7hrs a day 😂🤘🏻 Either increase in weight, rep or set at same weight today. Focus now is getting more reps at current weight to move up again. Extra food is great an I enjoy the weight gain 😂🤷♀️ A lot!
