After hearing about predatory practices by a helmet company in my area I wanted to put this info out there for parents to better make informed decisions about getting a cranial helmet for their infant’s head flattening. Remember that physical therapy is the gold standard and first line of treatment for infant head flattening and the earlier you get started the more likely to be avoid to avoid a helmet. You can self refer to PT as soon as you notice *any* flattening of your baby’s head (ideally by 2 months). Helmets are a great tool when necessary but I often find parents aren’t given accurate information about therapy for flat head and I’m finding that babies in my community are being recommended helmets when their head shape does not warrant one. . . ☀️BABIES DESERVE TO FEEL GOOD☀️ Hi!
