Let’s talk hair, I miss my natural hair & twist-outs.😭😩 When I take my time this style will last me a month and that’s even with me working out. It will shrink a little due to sweat and humidity especially in Alabama. . What I usually do to re-stretch my hair for an elongated look is I’ll take a knee high or church stockings. Cut them into strips and make ponytail holders out of the strips. Then soak em in castor oil or olive oil and at night do a high pineapple with the ponytail holder. Using these as ponytail holders will prevent the crease in your hair that you get when you use a regular ponytail holder. Then in the morning take the ponytail holder off and shake out your hair it will naturally fall out the pineapple. Put some oil on your hands a light oil and use your hands to help style. It’s all about the products and technique. When hired to do a job, my customers rely on me for my expertise as well. I had to let my customer know that I couldn’t complete the embroidery for the polo shirts because the design is too dense for that type of material. I could’ve did it anyway because I wanted the money. However, it can’t always be about that. Integrity is important and I would rather decline a job than to under deliver especially when I know it’s not the best practice. . For an image this big and very detailed I recommended sublimation because the fabric is soft. Embroidery is too heavy for soft knit fabric because those fabrics can’t handle excessive needle punctures. If this design wasn’t so detailed it would’ve worked fine. When you machine embroider on soft fabric you need a really strong stabilizer, I ended up using about 3-4 sheets. Every time the needle goes through the fabric it’s reducing the integrity of the fabric making it weak. It’s literally tiny holes and if it’s a multi layered detailed design it’s too heavy and can tear through the fabric. Story time, I was 210lbs in August which isn’t good for my A1C because I’m a Type 2 Diabetic so my Dr told me I gotta take some weight off. But I was working out and it just seems the weight wasn’t going anywhere. So she modified my medicines and I can finally see some results. A lot of people don’t understand that Diabetes is a metabolic disease so I struggle with energy and so many things daily but I have to keep going. It’s hard for most to stay at a healthy weight but it’s necessary to live. This popped up on my OneDrive memories. I was stationed at Scott AFB, IL working in Cargo Movements at the time. In this pic I was helping my troops pack up a shipment. I always wanted to be a leader that led by example so I would go out and help even though I didn’t have to. Til this day I get messages from some of my troops that I supervised about how they miss me and thank me for mentoring them. It’s about how you impact people’s lives and what they say about you when you’re not in the room. Good leaders lead by example and look out for everyone not just themselves. . I get asked all the time why I didn’t stay in and try to make E-8 the reason will always be my daughter. The life of a military child is hard and after all the moving it was time for some stability. The day we left IL, she said good bye to all her friends and literally cried and I cried with her. I thought as she got older moving would be easier for her but they develop friendships and relationships so it got harder. So I sabotaged my chances because I didn’t want to get promoted and have to move again. Also, I wasn’t kissing nobodies ass to get promoted I was just tired and over it.😂🤷🏽♀️ My child comes before anything and I stayed an extra year just so I could transfer my GI Bill to her for college. I’m blessed to have completed my BS in Psychology and MS in Software Development all while serving in the military.
