Spain was amazing! 🦐🍹 I had the best time in Madrid last week, enjoying lots of food and drinks. Here’s your reminder that it’s okay to have balance. 👍 It took me way too long to understand this. Every time I ate or drank something I considered “bad,” I would binge at night. I thought the day was already ruined. I’d tell myself it’s okay; I’ll skip breakfast tomorrow or run more. Don’t get me wrong, I still have those thoughts, but I don’t act on them anymore. Here are a few tips that help me maintain balance on vacation👇 * Walk at least 10 to 12k steps per day.
 * Drink plenty of water.
 * Eat enough protein (for me, it’s 120 to 130g per day).
 * Don’t restrict yourself.
 * Plan ahead (look at the menu before going out, buy healthy snacks, cook at the condo instead of eating out every meal).
 * Focus on the experience over the calories.
 * If you do mess up, try not to beat yourself up.

EARNED. . These are my 13.5 month results and 8 week challenge results. 2nd pic is from the end of the last challenge to this one. . Since April 3rd, 2023, I have lost 185 pounds of body weight (396-211) but gained so much back into my life as well by having new health, better relationships with my family and God and friendships. . The only limitations that we have on this life are the ones that we put on ourselves mentally. It's up to you to decide that you're worth more. . A veggie pancake made with Semolina flour and some veggies. Super healthy and filling! Recipe Take 3 cups of semolina flour Add 3-4 tbsp yogurt Add 1 grated Carrot Add 1 grated Potato (I used golden potato) Add 1 chopped bell pepper (any colors of your choice or what you have in the refrigerator) Add 1/2 chopped onions Add some nice chopped chilies (spicy as you like) Add some cilantro Add salt per taste Add tsp ginger Add 3 cups of water and mix it well. (It should not be too solid and not to liquidy in texture) Let it sit for 15 minutes and cover up batter with lid or plastic wrap After 15 minutes if the water has been soaked up a lot then add some more to give it a soft consistency so it can spread easily on the pan while you cook. Make one pancake at a time and enjoy with come coconut chutney. Most people doing nothing but cardio in the gym are doing it for one reason. To burn calories. But that’s NOT what exercise is for. We train to create a stimulus that our bodies can recovery from and adapt to. Lift heavy weight = get stronger. Do a bunch of cardio = improve your cardiovascular fitness. But if there’s any form of training you should do that has carry over to burning fat, it’s resistance training, aka lifting weights. Muscle is the metabolic powerhouse of your body, and when you have more of it you burn more calories in motion and at rest. More muscle = more calories burned = you’re able to keep the fat off for good Shoot for ~3-4 sessions a week, with 5-8 movements a session, 3-5 sets each - and these movements should feel challenging and fatiguing near the end. But there’s one more thing. More than anything, your nutrition is going to have the largest impact on your body weight and composition. Prioritize protein intake in order to build the muscle you’re working so hard for. Then dial in carbs and fats JUST enough to keep you feeling good while still being in a calorie deficit so you can lose body fat. I meal prep days in advance and has kept me successful in the mornings at 4 am before my workout! Because who wants to make breakfast at 3:30 am??? No excuses because overnight oats are easily prepped and kept in the fridge for days! Typically, I prep 5 days worth! Preparing and tracking will help you achieve your goals and crush them! Try making g them for yourself… you won’t be disappointed!
