Why you don’t need to eat 100% “clean” for weight loss. People nowadays are obsessed with eating “100% clean” Basically eating ONLY single ingredient foods. Now look, don’t get me wrong, we should mainly eat these foods because health is important and they are more nutrient dense. But i’m saying this: eating some chocolate or chips or ice cream here and there isn’t gonna hurt ya. It’s also not gonna impede your progress if you are managing your portions. There are soooo many different diets and weight loss methods out there nowadays. They are very confusing and make things unnecessarily complicated. Contrary to popular belief, you DON’T need to cut out sugar, bread, dairy, etc. in order to lose weight. You just need to be mindful of your portion sizes. You need to eat in a calorie deficit. If you want to figure out how to find your calorie deficit, check out my recent posts. Because at the end of the day, you need to find a way to consume fewer calories than you burn. I highly recommend an 80/20 approach with your nutrition. About 80-90% of your food comes from minimally processed, filling foods. And about 10-20% of your foods can come from those ‘fun’ foods that aren’t as nutritious. This helps create a balance that is realistic. A big reason why people can’t lose weight is because they think it requires some boring, 100% clean diet. Sure, you can go down that route, but it’s going to backfire on you. Beat and mix evenly. 3️⃣ In a muffin tray, oil with olive oil. Got the blood pressure back to normal 🙌🏼 118 today, down from 170 about 5 weeks ago. It's all down to meal prepping every week and getting active again. I thought I'd be doing more dance workouts but I've ended up doing a lot more boxing pad workouts, something I had never done before now but hey it's doing the trick. And I've lost 22lbs too. I can't get complacent though, gotta keep it going 👊🏼 Monday milestone. Monday motivation.
