Puppies have already had a busy day with breakfast in individual crates, lunch(as you can see Lynk is enjoying🤣) spread out for them(with a pop quiz manding session), and the kids brought them outside to play with the tunel and piano while the hubby and I did a bike date. Everyone else got to do outside playtime, which they really needed. I don't think I've seen a litter move like a pack before like these guys did when we went to go outside!🤣😂🤣 They shot out of their pen and ran as one to the door and out the door and over to their area. Today was just a rest play day for us as we all needed a break after the busy week we had and with Prince leaving. But we did have an unexpected chance to hear helicopters fly over, and I got a video of them not caring while they flew over that I'll post in my stories. We made it outside before the big rain today! We did pop quizzes on sit, down, come, and focus. We also did leash exposure of them taking turns wearing the leash to feel the weight and pressure of the leash so they won't be afraid of the leash. They are doing so much better with individual crate sessions. And they are so good about going potty when they are outside and using the tray when inside. Sometimes, I wish we had a dog door for them to be able to go outside more often, but unfortunately, our house isn't set up where we can do that option. Miss Gwenivere had her right ear up for a bit after her nap, but it went back down again. Today, we did a few things, but tried to keep it somewhat low-key after such a big day yesterday. But we still managed to do a crate exposure session, bring the puppies upstairs with a few dogs to explore a new area, and did a communication trinity session. Lol. Vet visit went great with everyone passing with flying colors! And Flynn joined us for his rabies shot and was such a good boy. I honestly think he will be the saddest one of our dogs with these guys all head home. Yay! We were able to get back outside again today! We also had a fire in the pit, so the puppies got to see, hear, and smell what it was. We also had them play with Flynn and even Aurora, but not together. Lol. Yesterday, we did get in a communication trinity session and was able to add leash exposure. And we had a last-minute group bath since one of the puppies(Daisy😂) rolled in poop on accident. And since we wanted them to be dry, I used the hairdryer on them. We had a few who didn't care, a few who seemed to like it, and a few who were not a fan but let me blow dry them, but one(Daisy, lol) hated it so I didn't get her as dry as the rest. But she was fine anyway. Lol. Tmw, I want to do a resource guarding session, separate crate exposure, and bring them upstairs for a bit. Yesterday, we took a break day since we have done something big for 3 days in a row, and sometimes that can tax them. But today, I'm hoping to jump back in with a communication trinity exercise. I am hoping to add leash exposure. We did still listen to different sounds. Yesterday's fireworks, and we did get nails clipped. I chose to do clipping this time, so they are both used to the dremel and clipping. Before you think it, yes, I do need to deep clean the dog room. Lol. Mostly, the dogs need to stop spilling their food everywhere!😂🤣😂 Anyway, now that that is out of the way, we have been working on crate associations the last few days with feeding them in the crates for 1-2meals. The other days, I did 4 to a crate, but today, we did 2 to a crate. I also have been putting any extra food in their crate in their pen and doing treats in the crate so they associate a crate with good feelings. But as you might have seen in our stories, we also did individual barrier challenges, and they got to meet Flynn with supervision. If you haven't seen them yet, check them out. Flynn loved every minute of being with the puppies, and he was trying so hard to control himself and be gentle. And before I forget, we did our first communication trinity last night with the puppies. For their first time, they all did really well. The Flower Litter is 6 weeks old today! Isn't that crazy!?! Everyone is doing great. They are now fully weaned, using the litter tray 90% of the time, and all will go potty outside. Sorry, I forgot to post this yesterday. We had some friends over to play with the puppies, and the puppies just loved them. I've been having the puppies walk most of the way out to the backyard as well, which has really been building their confidence with all of the different textures/surfaces they have been feeling underfoot. It's also been busy at the park next door, so there are a lot of sounds they are hearing often to prepare them for a big crazy world. Today I'm planning to do their first individual barrier challenge, and then this week will get really busy as I start to do more training with them individually now that I feel they are ready and I'm mostly better. Lol. Hopefully, I remember to get a video of them today so you can see how the barrier challenge works, if you haven't already. 🥰 And don't worry, this isn't something that teaches them to escape, but builds confidence in a puppy and teaches them to stay calm and think, and not overreact and stay frantic. We got the outside puppy area set up today, and we had so much fun running around and playing. We played with the loud crab, had a sled with a damp towel so we could feel wet paws, played under chairs, and had lots of toys to play with! After we played for a while, we got tired, and some of us zonked out! And that's not even the best part! Dandelion found his future home today! Oh my, did we have fun outside today! We did a meet and great with Flynn(didn’t get pictures, unfortunately) and a meet and greet with Pip(videos will be in stories). We had so much fun running around and playing in the fresh air! We got more outside time for picture day and got to hear all of the lawncare machines while we did. It was a pretty crazy experience for everyone. We also met the singing crab this morning that was posted in my stories. The crab died pretty quickly, which was ok for their first time playing with it while it's on. Since they were outside while the lawnmower, weedwacker, and leafblower were going, I didn't play any sounds inside. I've had a few inquiries about Dandelion, but now commitments. We had our first outside outing today, and they all loved it! Most, if not all, of them peed, and a few even pooped outside for me as well! Even though I'm still feeling crappy, I was very happy with how tonight went. We also listened to lots of different animal sounds today and tried pumpkin for the first time! Lots of fun today! Hopefully, the fun continues! And yes, Dande(first picture) is waiting to be snatched up again. I know some have already seen my previous post, so I do want to let you know you're not crazy. Cosmos is now spoken for, but with that being said, Dandelion is now up for grabs! He is a red and white, possibly bluie and/or fluff carrier. He is a chunk and cuddler. He just goes limp when you pick him up, which I love, loves food(usually makes them easier to train), as sweet as pie, but also has some get up and go if you like walks/hikes! We didn't have a super busy day, but we got to play with a new toy that is like a bridge! Listened to fireworks(I know we did before, but it was over a week ago and basically new to them again), and ate our food like a boss. Which is a good thing since I think mom is getting tired of having to feed them all the time. I don't know why I kept forgetting to mention this, but I also have been doing taking a treat with them as well. Well, I am officially sick, but the puppies are doing awesome! They love the big space and love their mush! Today, they even got to meet Pip through the fence and did great! No one was afraid of her, and Pip was a good girl. They even nailed listening to trains today like a boss. I was actually surprised they slept and played through the train whistle like it was nothing. But I think hearing Aurora and Flynn play upstairs is honestly way louder.🤣😂🤣 They also had a toy that has a mirror, wheels, and rattles, and they were crawling and standing on it like it was a stool.🤣😂🤣 And in case you missed it in our stories, this litter is now all spoken for. Reflection: The Prodigal Woman By Erin Newton The Bible often reminds me that some good truths are worth repeating. Jesus often responds to questions, “You’ve heard it said…” …some truths are worth telling again. The prophets’ messages were not random, ground-breaking new realities for the people. They spoke messages that reminded people of the truth they already knew. The call to repentance is an ancient word that still speaks today. The prophet Hosea uses the image of a wayward spouse to speak about the unfaithfulness of Israel. What is expected in such a relationship? Loyalty, love, commitment, and exclusivity. Jesus takes the same message and reconfigures the image. No longer is it a spousal relationship. It is father and son…not Baal who tempts but greed. This story hits a little closer to home. It sounds like our own testimonies. God always loved Israel. The father never stopped loving his son. Christ forever loves you. There is always room to tell this same story—our story—one more time.
