𝐈𝐦𝐚 𝐊𝐨𝐢: 𝐍𝐨𝐰 𝐈'𝐦 𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 💓. No Spoiler thoughts: I finally finished reading all of Ima Koi 🙌. As soon as the last volume came out, I went ahead and read all of it. Ngl, the ending was super rushed (out of the blue time-skip, why?!) due to how the author wanted to take a huge break (possibly retirement!?) from creating manga, which made the ending a little bit tasteless and bland 🫠. It's a good story with great cast, and to flush them out, the series needed another volume or two. All in all, it's a sweet high school romance. But for the rushed ending, I would give it 6/10. Have you read it yet? And if you did and reached the end, what did you think? Hopefully everyone is doing well 🤍.

Sketchy volume 1 💗 🛹 Ako is in her thirties and is feeling stuck in life. She’s working a dead-end job, her friends are thriving in their careers and relationships, and her boyfriend is a cringy film bro meme personified. When she sees some teenage girls practicing skateboard tricks, she feels inspired for the first time in ages and decides to explore the sport herself. While this volume has a primary focus on Ako, we also get glimpses into the lives of two other women who are grappling with their careers and relationships as they also discover their passion for skateboarding. Don’t let the knock-off penny board in this photo fool you—I know virtually nothing about skateboarding 😂 so it was really enjoyable to learn the basics of the sport alongside Ako 🫶 The primary message of this series that you’re never too old to try something new is heart-warming and refreshing, and I really felt myself rooting for these characters. The mangaka also includes articles about real-life female skaters in Japan in between chapters, which I thought was a charming touch 🫶 Despite having a solid start, this wasn’t a perfect read by any means and I don’t feel super compelled to pick up the next volume. I love reading a slice-of-life story to break up my more plot-heavy reads, but I find they rarely “wow” me enough to want to collect the whole series. This volume also had a surprising amount of internalized misogyny (female characters are constantly astounded that a *girl* could be so proficient in skateboarding) that was consistently off-putting. Definitely one of those series where if I already had the next volume on hand, I would absolutely give it a read, but since I don’t, I won’t be rushing to pick up the subsequent volumes. In questo regno lontano la popolazione è terrorizzata da corvi carnivori che tramite la vista possono ipnotizzare le persone, e che gli unici in grado di batterli siano i leggendari Scarecrow che per molti sono solo un mito. 🌸 FREAKING ROMANCE 🌸 Webtoon de Snailords édité par les éditions @neotoon_officiel 🌸 Résumé : Chaque relation a ses propres obstacles. Pour ce couple, ils sont cosmiques. Zylith, tout juste majeure, se retrouve à la rue pour avoir désobéi à ses parents. Dans sa re- cherche d’un appartement, elle découvre le logement parfait : lumineux, spacieux, pas cher et surtout hanté par un mystérieux et très beau jeune homme ! Il ne semble pas la voir et dès qu’elle le touche, il disparaît… Mais qui a dit que toutes les relations commençaient de manière idéale ? 🌸 Totale découverte pour moi qui lit très peu de webtoon et j’ai trouvé ça diiiiiingue !! On suit Zylith, qui après s’être fait virer de chez ses parents, va prendre un appartement pas cher, et pour cause, il est hanté ! Ça ne fait pas peur à notre héroïne qui aime les films d’horreur et le surnaturel. Sauf qu’elle va malgré tout être bien dérouté par ce jeune homme qui apparaît et disparaît d’un simple touché, et qui ne semble pas la voir en retour. J’ai adoré l’histoire, le contexte, j’ai jamais lu quelque chose qui ressemble à ça ! J’ai été happé dès le début par le mystère qui entoure cet appartement et surtout nos 2 héros. Il va être question de romance puisque c’est dans le titre, mais pour l’instant ce n’est pas le cas donc je me demande vraiment comment cette situation va évoluer pour nos protagonistes qui ne peuvent même pas se toucher.. J’adore les couleurs et les dessins, on a de très belles planches et c’est hyper agréable à lire 🥰 En bref, j’ai dévoré cette lecture !📖 Je suis très intriguée et j’ai vraiment très hâte de lire la suite ! Maintenant qu’elle a 20 ans, tout ce qu’elle souhaite c’est trouver quelqu’un de qui tomber amoureuse. Alors qu’elle réfléchit à la façon de trouver l’homme de ses rêves, sa meilleure amie l’emmène dans un certain endroit. Existe-t-il vraiment une telle chose que le destin ? 🌸 J’ai trouvé ce tome assez quelconque au départ, et au fil de ma lecture, j’ai commencé à m’attacher aux personnages et à l’histoire ! On suit Yuki, une jeune adulte, qui maintenant qu’elle vit seule, aimerait bien rencontrer l’amour. Sa meilleure amie l’emmène donc en boîte, pour danser et rencontrer des garçons ! Pour sa meilleure amie, la soirée se passe très bien, mais pour Yuki.. Elle va rencontrer un gars très désagréable. Mais comme celui ci était bourré et de mauvaise humeur, le lendemain il va chercher à s’excuser. Et finalement il va lui proposer de l’aider à trouver quelqu’un ! J’ai beaucoup aimé même si ça n’a pas été immédiat je l’avoue, et même si c’est une histoire qui reste très prévisible, elle a su m’embarquer ! Tsubaki-Chou Lonely Planet Volume 6, we are moving along with the releases with Volume 14 being the final one. The end of Volume 5 left us with a question to Fumi of “Will you go out with me?”! Then in the beginning of Volume 6 we get our answer followed by Fumi asking Akatsuki how old he is, which is 28 to her 18. We see Akatsuki really start to delve in deeper to process his thoughts and feelings instead of just not having them, and in doing so he constantly is asking himself “Why her?”. Which he gets his answers as to why. : We also see a foe have potential to become a friend, which I’m interested to get to know this side character more. Their story interests me and I want to see how any romantic interest for them is introduced cause I think it may be used by the author to compare to how Fumi and Akatsuki progress in their relationship through the series.

Chocolatier ha una parte estremamente introspettiva, accompagnata con dialoghi interiori dei personaggi e mostra la crescita e la trasformazione che avviene a seguito di un amore a senso unico. Ho apprezzato molto i personaggi secondari, tutti ben caratterizzati e fondamentali per la storia. Ognuno di loro affronta un percorso che va in un’unica direzione: quello della crescita personale. Seppure la vita ci presenta degli ostacoli difficili da superare è necessario rialzarsi per lottare e continuare ad andare avanti perché dalle macerie è possibile far germogliare semi di nuova speranza. La storia, pur trattando, di un amore non corrisposto in verità ha molti punti che divergono dai cliché di questo “genere”. La lettura è molto scorrevole grazie ad un ritmo incalzante, sempre dinamico e coinvolgente, presenta un finale inaspettato ed è realizzato in uno stile decisamente particolare con disegni molto espressivi e nitidi. Me & My Brothers—I love the anime adaptation of one of Hari Tokeino’s other series, Gakuen Babysitters (still hoping a publisher will eventually license the manga in English 😭), so hoping this series will be a win too! Après avoir été une fois de plus intimidée à cause de sa difficulté à communiquer , elle fait la rencontre d’un garçon, Kai Miura, qui lui vient en aide. 🌸 Vous avez déjà vu plein de posts sur cette nouveauté, mais franchement maintenant je sais pourquoi ! On suit Uka, une héroïne que d’habitude je trouve assez antipathique, par sa timidité et son inexistence de confiance en elle. Mais ici je dois dire que je l’ai trouvé très attachante ! Elle se remet en question, elle écoute les conseils qu’on lui donne, on part sur une héroïne qui je pense aura une belle évolution et ça ça me plaît ! Le héros lui, l’aide contre le harcèlement qu’elle subit et c’est de la pure gentillesse. Il ne se la joue pas, je le trouve vraiment super aussi ! Même les perso secondaires sont cools et moi d’habitude je les aime vraiment pas ! La seule chose qui m’a fait peur, c’est le nombre de tomes ! Mais Ann veut découvrir un autre paysage, elle veut voir ce qu’il y a par delà la montagne On va alors la suivre dans sa folle histoire Angoissante et trépidante ! I haven't read much manga last month because we were observing Ramadan and currently we are in the very first day of Eid (It's a holiday for Muslims just like Christmas 😁) so, Happy Eid everyone! 🎉🎈 I couldn't find the time for my favorite girls' birthdays but here we are as well, happy belated birthday to Yona & Sakura 🌸 As well as, April 10th is the anniversary for this account 😭 I can't believe it's been 7 years since I've joined MangaGram 🥹 I met so many amazing people thanks to this account and ofc through god' blessings 🤍. Mao volume 1 by Rumiko Takahashi ❤️ When walking home from school one day, Nanoka is transported to a supernatural Taisho era. There she meets the exorcist, Mao, and his assistant, Otoya. Mao is cursed by a demon, and so is his sword, so no one but Mao should attempt to touch it. But when Nanoka gets wrapped up in investigating a series of murders with Mao, she realizes she might have the power to wield his sword. Both Nanoka and Mao are searching for answers—there must be a string that connects them somehow. Rumiko Takahashi never misses 🫶 I am undoubtedly biased at this point, but I can’t help it—her stories are just a joy to be in. The fantasy elements are always intriguing, the comedy always hits, her characters are always charming. This was a really strong first volume. There’s a great balance between slice-of-life moments with Nanoka’s home and school life and high action scenes with Mao and Otoya (I loved every time Otoya was on the page—he’s such a cutie 😭). Based on the first volume alone, I definitely feel that this series will have a lot of parallels to InuYasha but will also stand strong on its own. I’m not really a fan of most modern isekai, but I love portal fantasy, time travel, etc., so stories like InuYasha and Mao really work for me. I love discovering a new world alongside the characters. Avec ce tome on débute un nouvel arc suite au match précédent, j’ai donc extrêmement hâte de découvrir ce que cette suite nous réserve pour nôtre petit Ashito loool. C’est vraiment un manga que j’adore, il y a tout les ingrédients d’une grande histoire (sportive) selon moi. Le scénario et les planches sont hyper cool, c’est un plaisir de lire les aventures de nos personnages. Si tu connais pas, je t’invite a découvrir et bon courage loool(21 tomes à rattraper, jamais de la vie je le commence looooool ). april tbr!! here’s some of the manga that I’m planning to read in april 💗 I’m finally going to start Mao & I’m sooo excited 🥹 I’ve been waiting to start this series until I had a good chunk of the volumes in my collection so I could binge them if I wanted to & I’ve collected the first 10 volumes now! as a dedicated Rumiko Takahashi fangirl, I’m tentatively planning on making reviews for each individual volume so I hope y’all don’t get tired of seeing it 😂 I picked volume 7 for this photo because I LOVE this cover but honestly all of the volume covers are sooo good. I love when covers focus on an individual character & Rumiko Takahashi’s character design is just stunning. also really excited to read through Paradise Kiss this month! thank you to everyone who voted/gave their input on my stories the other day about whether I should start with Paradise Kiss or Neighborhood Story. I’m starting with Paradise Kiss but I’m sooo excited for both series!!
