Take me back to last year an incredible and magical journey with The Cure. Robert Smith, an extraordinary human being, made it possible for me to attend all seven Southern California shows by keeping ticket prices low. On top of battling Ticketmaster on the daily to reduce fees. Each night, his mesmerizing voice and evocative lyrics drew us into a world of poetic beauty and melancholy. The concerts were a series of intimate, ethereal experiences. The band’s timeless melodies and raw emotion created an atmosphere where every song felt like a personal whisper in the dark. I cry at every show, overwhelmed by the deepest connection. Having seen them 44 times, each performance still feels unique from the 2013 earthquake in Mexico to beating the English heat at Hyde Park for the 40th anniversary. If you get a chance watch(on amazon prime) or listen to the album. It’s one of the best live recorded shows. At the second San Diego show, I was front row center and felt like I was being sung to the entire night. For the very first time, I finally got a setlist, which made the night even more special. Robert’s piercing blue eyes seemed to look into my heart and my soul, making me feel understood in ways words cannot express.
