Hallo Planties 🪴💚 meine Monstera variegata ist nicht so schön gewachsen 😮💨 und durch ihre Wuchsform auch sehr wackelig, weshalb sie zu einem Kandidat für den #PlantGlowUp wurde 😅 Gekauft hatte ich sie als einen sehr seltsam gewachsenen Ableger🌿 wie man auf dem zweiten Bild (habe es noch einmal ohne Rahmen mit angefügt) sehen kann. Das gefällt mir nun nicht mehr so. 🫣Hauptproblem ist allerdings die Instabilität. An drei Stellen moose ich sie zur Zeit ab, aber das dauert ewig. Bei einer Bestandsaufnahme musste ich soeben feststellen, dass dieser Vorgang nur langsam von Statten geht. ⌚️ Zunächst wollte ich sie mehrfach teilen, bis mir in den Sinn kam, dass ich auch unter der untersten abgemoosten Stelle schneiden und die anderen abgemoosten Wurzeln in den Moosstab einführen könnte. Dann hätte sie bereits Wurzeln, die sich in den Stab einfügen und ich habe nicht noch mehr Pflanzen, von denen ich mich irgendwann aufgrund des fehlenden Platzes trennen müsste. Am Ende will ich die Pflanze vollständig in Moos stehen haben, damit ich gerade bei ihr nicht mehr das Problem habe, dass beim Giessen des Moosstabes die Erde immer klatschnass wird und ich #wurzelfäule riskiere. Achso, die beiden Blätter ganz unten, werde ich nach dem Schneiden in Wasser bewurzeln und weitergeben an eine Freundin. Habt ihr vielleicht Tipps, wie ich das Abmoosen unterstützen kann, sodass das Wurzelwachstum beschleunigt wird? Und wann die Wurzeln lang genug sind, um überhaupt zu schneiden? Peep the GLOW UP my Philodendron Gloriosum got tonight! 🥹I bought this beauty secondhand, growing in a spiral in a 3 gallon (10”) nursery pot. While in my care, it grew in 3 new leaves, the newest you can see is still stumpy and bright green. There’s another new cataphyl already! AND there’s a brand new growth point starting at the original stem start. 🥳 If you look closely at the before picture, you can see the plastic pot starting bulge from the stem pushing against it. When I tell you the root system was beyond my imagination, that’s no exaggeration. 😱 After some much needed root trimming and some very creative back filling, she finally in a new home. This gal will ultimately go into a 16” pot, but is going into a 13” transition pot for now. I potted my own potting medium which is a mix of @plantonixorganix coco chips and coco coir, mixed with Orchid bark and #4 super chunky perlite from @rootgrowbloomhydro. Day 132: Managed to have some fun among the final grading push this Saturday. Rode out to @paulsdesert and picked up some goodies for myself along with a cactus and baby toes (aka the devil in plant form) for @connie.white.127. Passed on one of the rare beauties because I didn’t feel like dropping $100 plus on one plant (little did I know). Got my run (day 600!!!) done early so I could meet the new guy down at @thenostalgiacon and get a glimpse into his world of nerd. I have to say I feel less bad about the idea of dropping $100+ on a plant after seeing Pokémon cards selling for hundreds of $$$ a piece (a piece!!!…it doesn’t even flower!!!). To each group of nerds their own right? Plant people gonna plant. Pokémon nerds are gonna Poke nerd. When I first got to the convention center, I wasn’t 100% sure I was in the right spot…until I spotted the group of adults dressed in squirtle costumes. Sie und ihre Kollegin machen sich beide sehr gut, es kommen neue Blätter, ihre vorhandenen sehen gut aus soweit und ich bin guter Dinge, dass wenn das Wetter erst einmal stabil schön bleibt, die beiden davon nur profitieren können. (Nicht wundern, ich hatte sie bereits an die Sonne gewöhnt und noch ist diese auch nicht so stark. So my camera album went from Hoya to almost exclusively Alfie REAL FAST! 😂🤣 Can you blame me though!? Bereits die neuen Blätter sind mit Frassspuren übersät… da hat es bei mir ausgesetzt und ich habe zur Schere gegriffen. Seit Monaten habe ich immer wieder Gespinste entdeckt, nun reichte es mir… also Kopf ab. Bei beiden… nun sind es zwei Stümpfe in Moos… keinen Bock mehr drauf. Mal schauen was sich hier nun tun wird. Die Wurzeln sind klasse, da kann ich echt nicht meckern, aber verarschen lasse ich mich auch nicht! Guten Morgen Planties 🪴💚 starten wir mal farbenfroh in den Freitag mit der Peperomia caperata ‚Buenos Aires‘ 🤩 und ihren wirklich bunten Blättern. Sie ist aktuell meine farbenfroheste Pflanze in meiner Sammlung und meine einzige Peperomia. Ihre neusten Blätter sind ziemlich grün, deshalb gehe ich davon aus das sie zu wenig Licht bekommen hat und steht deshalb erstmal woanders. Oder wisst ihr, woran das liegen könnte? Peperomia werden definitiv noch weitere in meine Sammlung Einzug halten 💚 sie sind farbenfroh und die Blattform gefällt mir auch sehr. Ah, bevor ich es vergesse. Guten Abend Planties 🪴💚 der #PlantGlowUp beim Philo. ‚Spiritus Sancti‘ zeigt bereits erste Erfolge 🤩 ihr glaubt gar nicht, wie glücklich ich bin 💚 Auf dem zweiten Slide seht ihr das vorletzte Blatt, welches mich hellhörig werden liess. Da merkte ich, dass irgendetwas nicht stimmen konnte und tatsächlich. Die Wurzeln sahen nicht so dolle aus. Also weg mit der Erde und ab in Moos. Das Ergebis seht ihr auf dem dritten Slide 🥰 ein perfektes, typisch für den ‚Spiritus Sancti‘ schmale Blatt 🌿 er wird. Hallo Planties 🪴💚 die Aphelandra Squarrosa ‚White Wash‘ ist mir Anfang Jahr bei @huplant direkt ins Auge gesprungen und ich konnte sie nicht einfach stehen lassen 🤩 bis dahin kannte ich nur die hauptsächlich grüne Variante mit den weissen Adern. Für die Planties unter euch mit Haustieren, die gerne mal in euren grünen Freunden knabbern, ist die Aphelandra Squarrosa ‚White Wash‘ die richtige Pflanze. Sie gilt als nicht giftig, sollte aber dennoch nicht als Mahlzeit herhalten. Sie ist relativ pflegeleicht, möchte nicht austrocknen, mag es hell und die Luftfeuchtigkeit sollte auch höher sein. Guten Morgen Planties 🪴💚 auch wenn das Wetter es aktuell vielleicht nicht vermuten lasst, steht der Sommer vor der Tür. Die Jahreszeit, die unsere Pflanzen lieben 💚 Sonne satt, wenn es gut läuft 🌞 Licht, Licht, Licht und das wollen unsere Pflanzen und das Beste ist, es ist gratis 😍 also wird der eine oder andere seine Pflanzen rausstellen wollen. Also ich auf jeden Fall und da stellt sich mir die Frage, wie gewöhne ich meine Zimmerpflanzen an die Sonne. Denn wir wollen schöne Pflanzen und keine, die mit Sonnenbrand langsam vergehen… Aber wie macht man das eigentlich? 1️⃣ Pflanzen 🪴 für einige Stunden am Tag an einen windgeschützt und schattigen Platz stellen. Damit sie sich langsam an den neuen Platz gewöhnen kann. 2️⃣ nach etwa einer Woche langsam immer näher zur Sonne rücken. Lieber einen Tag länger an einem Platz stehen lassen, als es zu überstürzen. 3️⃣ nun kann es länger in die Sonne gehen, aber Mittagssonne am besten noch vermeiden. 4️⃣ aufs Giessen achten! In der Sonne trocknet das Substrat schneller und die Pflanze verdunstet viel Wasser über die Blätter. 5️⃣ jetzt kann man die Pflanzen auch mal über Nacht draussen lassen. 6️⃣ KEIN Wasser auf den Blättern, das wirkt wie ein Brennglas und die an die Sonne gewöhnte Pflanze kann verbrennen. Habt ihr noch Tipps zum Gewöhnen an die Sonne?
