This week my little ones made their own paper as part of our stem week. ๐งช โป๏ธ They collected the paper, shredded it into tiny pieces and then added water to create a pulp texture. Lastly, the children transferred the pulp onto mould trays to sieve excess water out and then dry. My class loved reading โSomebody Swallowed Stanleyโ by @sarahsrealjob during Earth Week ๐ In this book, a plastic bag named Stanley gets mistaken for a jellyfish and lots of sea creatures try to eat him ๐ณ๐ข This sparked our interest in jellyfish and their importance in the ecosystem ๐ We researched lots of different kinds of jellyfish and were amazed at all the variations ๐ When discussing this diversity, we decided that we would each design our own jellyfish for our furniture, to represent the biodiversity found in our oceans ๐
