This is the third piece I have showing in La Mecha Contemporary's juried show for small artworks under $200. These pieces are still available, along with several others by 12 other artists. The gallery is open 12-5 every Saturday, but this Saturday December 9th, there will be an evening holiday market at this location so they'll be open until 10pm. Come out! This piece was made in spring but it definitely has a wintery feel to me. I love evening moments like this, when the sun sets & the light gets low, causing unexpected colors to pop out in the half light.
📍This piece was made on + depicts the homelands of the peoples known today as the Mescalero Apache, Chiricahua Apache & Piro-Manso-Tiwa.
